Business Assistance Fiji (BAF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Nitika Singh as its new General Manager, effective immediately. Ms Singh steps into the role following a comprehensive and competitive recruitment process overseen by the BAF Board.
Ms Singh brings extensive experience in finance, corporate management, and MSME support, having served in various leadership roles within the organisation, including as Acting General Manager since March 2025. Her proven track record in strengthening internal systems, driving programme delivery, and engaging with key government and private sector partners positions her well to lead BAF into its next phase of growth.
Business Assistance Fiji plays a pivotal role in supporting Micro, Small and Medium enterprises (MSMEs) across Fiji by providing tailored business advisory services, facilitating access to finance, and offering targeted capacity-building programmes. Through its work, BAF helps entrepreneurs formalise and grow their businesses, improve financial management, and enhance competitiveness in both domestic and export markets. This support directly contributes to job creation, greater economic participation, and more inclusive private sector development, especially for women, youth, and rural-based enterprises.
As a key implementing partner of the Business Link Pacific (BLP), BAF is further able to connect MSMEs to quality-assured business advisory services and targeted grant support, strengthening the resilience and growth prospects of Fijian businesses.
BAF Board Chairperson, Dr Nur Bano Ali, welcomed the appointment and highlighted the organisationโs continued commitment to MSME development: โMs Singhโs appointment comes at a critical time for MSMEs in Fiji. Her deep understanding of the sector and proven leadership within BAF will help us scale up our support to entrepreneurs, strengthen our partnerships with government and development partners, and ensure that more MSMEs can access the advice, tools and opportunities they need to thrive and contribute to Fijiโs economic growth.โ
Under Ms Singhโs leadership, BAF will continue to strengthen its partnerships with government, development partners and financial institutions to expand the reach and impact of its services. The organisation will place particular emphasis on fostering resilient and innovative MSMEs that can adapt to changing market conditions, leverage digital tools, and contribute to a more diversified and sustainable Fijian economy.
The BAF Board is confident that Ms Singhโs strategic vision, technical expertise, and commitment to MSME development will further enhance the organisationโs contribution to Fijiโs economic growth and support the Governmentโs broader agenda for private sectorโled development.
