Yesterday, the Fiji-Australia Business Council hosted an exclusive online session, “From Wells to Wallets”, giving members vital insights into how global oil market volatility is affecting Fiji’s fuel supply, transport costs, and inflation.

Led by Mr. Ariff Ali, Governor of the Reserve Bank of Fiji, and Mr. Jatin Kumar, Head of Commercial Operations & Sales at Petro Oceania Energy members explored the challenges of limited tanker capacity, fragile stockpiles, and the need for strategic planning, energy diversification, and fiscal prudence.

A large number of members from FABC and AFBC dialed in, highlighting the value of staying informed and connected.

Today, the Fiji Australia Business Council (FABC) formalised a new strategic partnership with the Market Development Facility (MDF) through the signing of a MOU in Suva.

This partnership will deliver a joint Agri-Food Manufacturing SME Export Accelerator Program, designed to strengthen the export readiness of high-potential Fijian agri-food manufacturers and support their successful entry into the Australian market.

Through tailored learning modules, targeted coaching, and access to regional and Australian technical expertise, the accelerator will help participating SMEs overcome key market-entry barriers and build sustainable export pathways.

📣 Applications for the inaugural accelerator cohort are expected to open in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for updates.
