During one of the most challenging periods in Fiji’s recent history, Freight Services (Fiji) PTE Limited had the honour of collaborating with the Rotary Club of Suva to support our community when it mattered most. 🇫🇯🤝

As the COVID-19 pandemic swept across Fiji and the world, our nation faced unprecedented challenges. Our healthcare workers stood on the frontlines, working tirelessly to protect lives, while hospitals and communities relied on the support of organisations and individuals willing to lend a helping hand.

Through our collaboration with the Rotary Club of Suva, our team assisted with the transportation and delivery of essential medical supplies directly to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital (CWMH), supporting those who were working through one of the most difficult periods our country had experienced. 🏥📦

When our trucks arrived at the hospital car park, we were greeted by heavy rain. But the weather wasn’t going to stop the job from getting done. Our team put on our Freight Services Fiji raincoats, stepped out into the rain, and continued unloading and delivering the much-needed supplies.

It was a simple moment, but one that captured the spirit of our team during those uncertain times:

“Even through the rain, we move.” 🌧️💪🏾

Looking back, we remain grateful to the Rotary Club of Suva for allowing us to play a small part in a much greater effort. It reminded us that logistics is more than simply moving cargo from one place to another—it is about being there when people need you most.

Our Moving and Relocation Team had the unique opportunity to complete a relocation project in one of Fiji’s beautiful outer islands known as Tokoriki which is part of the Mamanuca group 🏝️—an experience beyond our usual operations. 🌊

Traveling across the ocean and working at the breathtaking Sheraton Resort & Spa Tokoriki hotel, our team embraced the challenge with professionalism, teamwork, and dedication 🙏🏾📦. Every destination brings a new story, and we are proud to be part of our customers’ journeys wherever they desire to go 💫

Today, we celebrate 30 incredible years of Freight Services (Fiji) PTE Limited—a journey shaped by growth, resilience, challenges, milestones, and countless partnerships. 🫱🏽‍🫲🏾

From helping families relocate to supporting businesses, NGOs, diplomatic missions, and global partners, we are proud to have played a role in connecting people and communities from the Pacific to the rest of the world. 🌍🌴

This milestone belongs to everyone who has been part of our story.

☑️ To our past and present team members—your dedication, commitment, and hard work have laid the very foundations of this company.

☑️ We also honour those who are no longer with us, whose legacy continues to guide and inspire us every day.

A special tribute to our late Managing Director, Mr. Joe Taoi, and our late National Operations Manager, Mr. Solomone Taoi, whose leadership, vision, and dedication helped shape the foundation of Freight Services Fiji. Though they are no longer with us, we remain deeply grateful for the values they instilled, the lessons they shared, and the example they set. These invaluable lessons remind us every day of the legacy we are entrusted to uphold as colleagues, as one team, and as a small business striving to grow together. 🙏🏾 🕊️

Our late Managing Director, Mr. Joe Taoi, once shared these words with our management team after one of our managers asked him what the true definition of success meant to him. His response has remained a guiding principle for our company and continues to inspire us in everything we do. He said:

“Success is not determined by things you achieve tomorrow, it is in the decisions you make today and how those decisions can make life better for those around you —that determines success.” ✅

🌴 Strengthening partnerships across the Pacific! 🫱🏽‍🫲🏾

Bati and I were blessed with the opportunity to visit our trusted partners in Samoa 🇼🇸. The purpose of the trip was to ensure that the moving and relocation services delivered by our Samoan partners continue to meet the highest standards of quality, professionalism, and customer satisfaction. ✅

During our visit, we conducted in-house training sessions with the local team, focusing on the quality standards established by FIDI and how they help ensure a world-class moving experience for our customers. Bati also shared valuable packing and handling techniques with the Samoan packing crew, equipping them with practical skills to support future shipments. 📦 🚛

While the visit centered on training and collaboration, it also provided an opportunity to build meaningful connections, share experiences, and form friendships that will last a lifetime. From the warm hospitality of the Samoan people to the beautiful places we had the privilege of visiting, every moment made the journey truly memorable. ✨

Although our time in Samoa was brief, the memories and relationships formed will be cherished for years to come. We extend our sincere gratitude to our trusted Samoan family at Pacific Freight for their incredible hospitality, commitment to continuous improvement, and the thoughtful gifts presented to us before our departure. 🤍🙏🏾

We look forward to returning to Samoa again soon and to visiting more of our valued partners across the South Pacific throughout 2026 as we continue working together to deliver world-class moving and relocation services. 💫

Today, he helps lead a .global.alliance-FAIMPLUS certified organisation in the South Pacific.

In our latest FIDI blog, Joeli Taoi, Lead Internal Auditor at Freight Services Fiji 🇫🇯, shares the journey of a family business founded by his late father in 1996, and how consistency, discipline and global standards turned ambition into certification.

💡 The big takeaway: the South Pacific may be geographically remote, but it’s not operationally disconnected. Through shared standards and strong networks, young leaders are helping shape the future of our industry.
