Today I had a client who indicated that I have been ineffective in my deliverance of work. My father passed in December 2024 and that he knew. The only resolution to this situation was ending my work relationship and stating that his needs and expectations are best met with someone else. At a time when one is at one's lowest, empathy is not much to ask. More importantly the trust that when your work is delayed or not as one expects the person will make up for this. As a virtual assistant and a small business entrepreneur you decide what fits in with you capabilities and let go of what you cannot meet. Be kind to people who are at their lowest. I am reminded today that there is a reason why I set up my business and that is doing what I love! Yes to making money but choosing what you want to do.
