Happy Diwali from Namacu, Koro Island.

We are very fortunate to be here in this peaceful, quiet and beautiful Namacu Homestay Accomodation. Due to ship schedules for the Island, we have to travel on the Monday evening boat and to return on the next available boat on Wednesday.

So our stay here is unavoidable but a blessing in disguise for some of us who barely needed time to recuperate and to at least a day te reflect and rest.

I'm quite excited to know that the Homestay we are staying, belongs to the Koro Island Methodist Cicuit Division. What an amazing idea, an investment arm of the Koro Methodist Church Division. Very unusual approach for a Divisional Circuit of the Methodist Church to engage in business but they have invested in the Fiji Unit Trust and also aspiring to register as a Cooperative business.

I take my hat off to the people of Koro and to the Turaga Talatala Qase for the wisdom and foresightedness on this iconic achievement. This business opportunity will not only offset some church financial obligations usually passed to members of the church, it will support the Divisional Circuit financially, will also contribute to the socio economy well-being of the church members.
