🚛 Diesel prices are surging again across Europe - and transport companies are feeling the pressure.
In Spain, diesel has jumped over 30% in just 10 days, creating more than €100M in additional costs for transport companies, according to Fenadismer.
Meanwhile, in France, diesel prices have exceeded €2 per litre, pushing operating costs for trucks up by more than 20%.
For many carriers - especially SMEs and independent operators - margins were already thin.
Now the question is simple: how long can the sector absorb these shocks?
Across Europe, industry organisations are calling for:
• faster fuel indexation in transport contracts
• support for transport companies’ cash flow
• emergency measures to limit the impact on the sector
Because if transport slows down… entire supply chains will feel it.
💬 How are transport companies adapting to this new surge in fuel costs?
