If you are one of the many small businesses thinking of requesting the Aide available from Impots.gouv.fr relating to your MicroEnterprise, due to Covid-19:

*You will require your fiscal reference number, shown on your annual Avis d'impot sur la revenu in order to log into your espace personal. Those without an espace personal can create one online or via FranceConnect.
* Have to hand your chiffres d'affaires for March 2019 and for March 2020 which will show at least a 70% drop in turnover in those months, as a direct result of the closures and restrictions to business.
*Those with a drop of 50% maybe able to claim from next week too, but its not avaialble as yet. Keep an eye on updates later regarding this.
*Once logged in, Click onto the "messagerie securisee", then select "Ecrire" and the option at the bottom " Je demande d'aide aux entreprises fragilisees Covid-19".
*From there, complete the info requested ( address, Siret number, Bank details, turnover figures) and validate and send.
* Please remember to print off and save the accuse de reception for your records and your dossier will be assessed by the Direction Generale.
*You will be kept updated via email on the progress of your claim.

Please remember that your figures will be verified with URSSAF and Impots.gouv.fr and false claims could face a fine of 30,000 euros and a prison stay so please only make a claim if you are genuinely in need at this stage.

I am hoping that this info along with all thats now available online, will mean any people can deal with this themselves, however if you need more specefic info relating to your circumstances, then please email me.

Just to keep people informed of the new penalties being enforced by the authorities for speeding.
Please be aware that they are really clamping down especially since the introduction of the new 80km limit from 1st July on most country roads.

Just a little reminder to all MicroEnterprise business owners, that your Trimestrielle Declaration de Chiffre D'affaires needs to be submitted via net-enterprise online portal or via a paper declaration, before 31st January 2018, to cover the months of October, November & December 2017.

Payment is then taken automatically at midday on 31st January via your pre-set up nominated bank account.

Best advice is unless you have already submitted your declaration, to action it asap as the site often gets overloaded as the deadline approaches....and the last thing you want is a penalty for not declaring on time😱

New promised reforms officially announced this week, will see turnover threshold limits on Micro Entrepreneur businesses being increased from January 2018, great news for small business in France. Therefore from next year:

* Service related activities will benefit from an increase in turnover threshold up to 66,400 euros

*Commercial related activities will benefit from an increase in turnover threshold up to 165,600 euros.

And

* Exemption from CFE tax for sole traders with a turnover less than 5,000 euros.

It's welcome news for the self employed in France and helps to support and encourage small business owners to thrive in their chosen activity.

A long overdue update from Wonder Woman aka The Office Angel...The last 3 months have been so busy helping clients, that it's been tricky even finding the time to post..however here's a quick snapshot of what I've been up to..

* 6 new Micro Enterprise businesses registered with Chambre de Metiers and Chambre de Commerce and assisting with all post registration paperwork

* Several S1/CPAM Carte Vitale applications

* Various CAF applications for family benefits

* Application for an invalidity permit through MDPH and assistance with all meetings and assessments for APA ( Home help)

*Carte Grise paperwork and certificate of conformity for vehicles being registered in France

*Help tracing a car that had been towed away, liaising with the Police Commissioner and the vehicle pound to ensure client was reunited with her car...after paying all the fees!

*Liaising with the Tresor Public for a client who had been wrongly charged over a mix up with unpaid Tax, obtaining a refund from them plus a refund of the bank charges

* Paperwork for a Declaration Prealable for building work for a local client

*Dealing with contractors for a Fosse Septic installation

And finally dealing efficiently and tactfully with the death of a local resident on behalf of his family in the UK, obtaining all the relevant certificates from the Marie, prefecture and funeral director and organising everything for his cremation.

Add in all the daily client needs for phone calls, appointment booking and general admin tasks... This has been one very busy but very happy Office Angel 😇

I have loved meeting and welcoming new clients and getting out for some networking opportunities with local businesses.

I've been busy on the phone with conference calls between English clients and the Chambre des Metiers providing translation help, then some complaint handling for clients with their utility company, resulting in a solution and a refund for them 👍🏻 followed by applications for the magical Carte Vitale through CPAM, plus letter writing, appointment booking and general form filling....

It's all in a day's work for The Office Angel 😇

TOP TIP TUESDAY

****** DECLARATION DE REVENUE*******

French tax return time is almost upon us all, so get organised in advance and then you can relax....
The paper forms are already being sent out, but please remember there have been some changes which may affect you. The 2017 online declaration ( for the 2016 tax year) has been made compulsory for certain people.

This applies to all those with a fiscal revenue ( Revenue Fiscal de Reference) for last year of more than 28,000 Euros and who have an internet connection at home.
You will find your revenue fiscal de reference on the 1st page of last years Avis D'Impo, so double check this figure to see if you are affected.

Next year, this threshold will reduce further to a revenue fiscal of 15,000 Euros and so on, until ultimately everyone will have to declare online by 2019.

Therefore, please keep this figure in mind when completing a paper tax return this year, as things are due to change further next year and its best to be prepared.
The official website for the French tax authorities is www.impots.gouv.fr where you can download the forms, complete your declaration online and set up direct debit payments for income tax etc.

Also rememeber if its your 1st time completing a form i.e you have recently moved to France in 2016, then you will need to request a form by visiting your local Tresor Public office and asking for one, they are available from the first week in May.

March was a happily busy month.....with lots of varied work including assisting with applications for PUMA (Protection Universelle Maladie) and L'APA (L' Allocation Personnalisee D'Autonomie) for care homes. Followed by insurance claim paperwork, conference call support for clients when liaising with their bank, then some French translation for a holiday home business and lastly some old school written correspondence between landlords & tenants!

Wonder what April will have in store...get in touch if you need help with all kinds of admin tasks.
