Organic Vineyard and Micro Brewery. They live in the estate farmhouse with their two children, Zachary and Sophie-Tor.

In August 1994 Sarah and David Meakin moved from the UK after buying a five-hectare vineyard along with 30 hectares of cereal land in the limestone hills of Quercy National Park overlooking the beautiful hilltop bastide village of Puylaroque. Over the past 19 years they have planted a further three hectares of vines and now produce approximately 25000 bottles of award-winning wines every year.

RANT,well it’s nearly the weekend! Just putting things in perspective! I have just been to the hearing aid shop in Caussade,one of several I may add,to have a wire put back that had come loose on one of my ear pieces, the technician, I use the word lightly, very kindly did the job and cleaned it along with my other one.The pieces are out of guarantee so a charge of 59 euros came with the service literally for no more than 5 minutes work!!!
My point is how much equipment does a farmer need to have along with land and the time taken to amass the knowledge to make over 700 euros an hour without even leaving the building!!!

So what is this world coming to, perhaps all farmers should cash it and buy hearing aid shops, then what would you eat ? Wouldn’t matter would it because you still could hear the cannibals coming ???
