Photographer Alexandra Catiere set up her view camera in the middle of the Château Palmer vineyards for the fourth edition of the INSTANTS residency, where she followed the passage of time by superimposing layered images like layers of paint, capturing the vast and beautiful self-evidence of nature that survives the generations of men and women who have passed through it.
Launched in 2023 with the support of its historic partner Leica, INSTANTS is an artistic adventure through which Château Palmer affirms its support for contemporary photographic creation. After Paul Cupido, Henrike Stahl and SMITH, Alexandra Catiere is the fourth resident invited to photographically interpret this place inhabited by the living and memory.
A selection of images from this residency will be presented in preview at the Clémentine de la Féronnière gallery in Paris from March 17 to 21, 2026.

La photographe Alexandra Catiere a planté sa chambre au milieu des vignes de Château Palmer pour la quatrième édition de la résidence INSTANTS, où elle remonte le fil du temps en superposant les strates, les images, comme des couches de peinture, saisissant l’ample et belle évidence de la nature qui survit aux différentes générations d’hommes et de femmes qui l’ont traversée.
