Harvest mode is intense.
The rhythm cuts you off from the world… and yes, I miss Ness. A lot.

This isn’t her in the first photo just the dog of a friend we helped out but it reminded me how natural the bond is between a winemaker and a good dog.

Same patience. Same loyalty to the long game. Same quiet presence when the days stretch long.

We choose this life because we love it.
And honestly… we’re often better people when a four-legged companion is waiting somewhere. See you soon Ness!!

Le 18 janvier nous nous envolons pour le Swartland en Afrique du Sud pour vinifier notre tout premier millésime. Une nouvelle page s’ouvre et nous sommes tellement heureux de la partager avec vous.

Notre domaine prend vie et chaque geste de soutien nous rapproche de ce rêve. Rejoindre cette aventure c’est participer à la naissance d’un projet issu d’un rêve de gamin, celui de faire son propre vin. Nous avons tout mis en place pour viser l’excellence, des raisins de qualité, une cave équipée de matériel premium, tonneaux et toute l’énergie nécessaire pour créer un millésime dont nous serons fiers.

On January 18 we will fly to the Swartland in South Africa to craft our very first vintage. A new chapter is beginning and we are thrilled to share it with you.

Our winery is coming to life and every bit of support brings us closer to this dream. Joining this adventure means being part of something born from a childhood dream, the dream of making our own wine. We have prepared everything to aim for excellence, from exceptional grapes to a premium equipped cellar, beautiful barrels and all the energy needed to create a vintage we can be proud of.

Burgundy is just around the corner and it’s ready to unveil its treasures.

From the rolling vineyards to the charming stone villages, every turn feels like a journey back in time. The wines? Legendary. The food? Unforgettable.
And the cellars… carved into the hillsides, cool and timeless they’re absolutely magnificent.

We opened a bottle of 1999 Côte Rôtie from one of my all-time favorite domaines, Guy Bernard, and it was simply extraordinary.

The wine had aged with incredible grace. The nose was captivating with aromas of black olive tapenade, dried violets, smoked meat, leather and forest floor. On the palate it was silky, savory, with perfectly resolved tannins and a long, earthy finish that kept evolving in the glass.

A true reminder of what great Northern Rhône Syrah can become with time and patience.

We shared it around the table and every sip felt like a little gift. Everyone was blown away, the kind of wine that brings people together and leaves a lasting impression.

I actually have some bottles from this domaine available at the shop in Condrieu. They’re from much younger vintages, of course, but with the right amount of cellaring they’ll reward your patience just as beautifully.

Meet Ness my Border Collie and sweetest dog around here.🐼
She’s curious, calm, and loves cuddles.
If you’re a dog person, you’ll feel right at home.
Ness sometimes joins us on private tours, especially when we’re out in the vines or tasting in relaxed, dog-friendly spots.
She won’t judge your tasting notes but she might quietly sit next to you while you swirl your glass.

This photo was taken in 2020, when I was working as a winemaker at E. Guigal (one of the most iconic domaines in the Rhône Valley.)

Before launching my own wine tour company (since 2014), I spent nearly 10 years learning, making, tasting, and exploring wine around the world. I hold a bachelor’s degree in winemaking and wine business, and I’ve vinified in Rhone, Burgundy, Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand.

Today, I personally guide every tour I offer. Whether you're just curious or deeply into wine, I’ll adapt the day to your level and answer any question, even the technical ones.
