At Domaine Beaumont, now that the 2026 harvest is safely in, we're turning our attention back to the vineyard, assessing the health of our vines row by row, parcel by parcel.
Today's job : removing and counting the dead vines.

Vendange 2026 :
Fidèles à notre philosophie, nous laissons la nature s'exprimer et nous attendrons, comme chaque année, que la dernière grappe soit ramassée et entrée au chai avant de vous parler de ce millésime 2026.

Notre regard est déjà tourné vers l'avenir. L'été a été marqué par des vagues de chaleur intenses. Face à cette canicule et au défi climatique, le Domaine Beaumont refuse de subir : nous continuons à investir massivement dans la résilience de notre vignoble.

Pour anticiper et préparer au mieux le millésime 2027, nous lançons une double campagne d'analyses scientifiques inédite sur nos parcelles de Chardonnay et Chenin.

Étape 1 : Les analyses de pétioles (En cours)
Nous procédons actuellement à des prélèvements et des analyses de pétioles (la tige des feuilles) au cœur même de nos parcelles de Chardonnay et de Chenin).
• À quoi ça sert ? Le pétiole est le miroir de la santé du cep. Cette analyse nous révèle en temps réel comment nos vignes ont traversé la canicule. Elle mesure ce que la plante a réussi à puiser en nutriments malgré le stress thermique.
• Ces résultats vont nous permettre d'adapter sur-mesure notre programme de fertilisation immédiatement après les vendanges, afin d'apporter à chaque cépage la juste nutrition pour refaire ses réserves avant l'hiver.

Étape 2 : Les analyses de sol (Prochainement)
Dans un second temps, juste après la récolte, nous réaliserons des analyses de terre approfondies.
• À quoi ça sert ? Si l'analyse pétiolaire nous dit ce que la vigne consomme, l'analyse de sol nous dit ce que le terroir contient. Elle cartographie la structure de la terre et sa capacité à retenir l'eau. Grâce à ces données, nous saurons comment amender nos sols cet hiver de manière 100 % naturelle pour fortifier le système racinaire de nos blancs face aux sécheresses futures.

Dear friends and guests at Domaine Beaumont - Vignoble & Maison d'Hôtes Vigneronne

2026 Harvest:
True to our philosophy, we allow nature to express itself, and as every year, we will wait until the very last bunch of grapes has been harvested and brought into the cellar before telling you about the 2026 vintage.

Our eyes are already looking towards the future. Summer has been marked by intense heatwaves. Faced with this extreme heat and the challenges of climate change, Domaine Beaumont refuses to simply endure: we continue to invest heavily in the resilience of our vineyard.

To anticipate and prepare as effectively as possible for the 2027 vintage, we are launching an unprecedented two-part scientific analysis campaign on our Chardonnay and Chenin plots.

Step 1: Petiole Analysis (currently underway)
We are currently taking samples and carrying out petiole analyses (the stems of the leaves) directly from our Chardonnay and Chenin vines.
• What is the purpose? The petiole is a reflection of the vine’s health. This analysis gives us a real-time picture of how our vines have coped with the heatwave. It measures the nutrients the plant has been able to absorb despite the heat stress.
• These results will allow us to tailor our fertilisation programme immediately after the harvest, ensuring that each grape variety receives exactly the nutrition it needs to replenish its reserves before winter.

Step 2: Soil Analysis (coming soon)
Secondly, immediately after the harvest, we will carry out in-depth soil analyses.
• What is the purpose? If petiole analysis tells us what the vine consumes, soil analysis tells us what the terroir contains. It will map the structure of the soil and its ability to retain water. With this data, we will know how to naturally enrich and improve our soils this winter, strengthening the root systems of our blanc grape varieties in preparation for future droughts.
