Notre Dame. Paris

Destroyed by a fire in 2019, relocation works are going full speed with a forecast for a reopening in 2024.

It is planned for after the Olympic games but the external structure should be back in the Parisian m’as came for the games.

I remember the emotion as a French and Parisian lady when I heard so many people willing to give money to make this renovation possible.

Today as I walk by the Seine on this winter sunny day, I want to say thank you to all who raised their hands to save this national icon.

This is my work place for the next month.

What I love in being location-free is that I get to work in the most amazing places. The ones where most of people go on vacations!

I visit those places out of the peak season so I have the snow or the sand of the beach for myself that I happyly share with the lucky residents.

For the next month I am settling down in one of my Airbnb on the Ocean side in France. I'll have sunset on the Atlantic, a change from Outer Banks in North Carolina in October where I had sunrise on the Ocean :-)

After a long walk on the beach, it is time to work to prepare another amazing week.

I am flying from Paris to Toulouse to take care of the bathroom renovation at one of our Airbnb in the south France and check a second one for my annual visit.

Look what I found on my seat.
I first thought. Wow nice a bottle of water.
Then I noticed I was the only one
So I checked more carefully.

What a Stellar Sevice to reward your VIP client!
I LOVE it!

It says:

Dear Mrs Hersen (my maiden name in France)
Welcome in board!
The whole team wish you an excellent flight.
Happy new year 2023!
Your steward (the head of but I don’t remember the word in English!

I am in Paris with mom but I enjoyed seeing the Lake Tahoe which is home as well for me 😀

I am for my Life and the freedom of being an entreprneur so I can choose what I do , when I do it and with whom.

I has not always been that way. Deciding to go in my own was one BIG decisions but the decision to keep going when I had no results has been a TOUGHER one.

What I have seen in helping women in business for 20 years is that, I am not the only one.

Keep going when you are not confident you’ll get results is the biggest obstacle to your success.

Wherever you are in this entrepreneurship journey, whether you are thinking to create your own money, whether you are testing your idea with your first paid clients or whether you have a stable business ready to scale, your next level will bring its frustration, doubts and fears.

Learning to be confident no matter what IS your way to breakthrough at anytime from anything.

I love Paris. Not only because it is the nicest city in the world but also because it is my hometown.

Every year I take a couple of weeks to visit my properties in France. As an investor, a business owner and an Airbnb host, I like to have my arms around my business.
I check with my local teams, plan some investment, put in place the service improvement I’d like to offer my clients.

I am to have taking the decision years ago to create my own money so I can retire from corporate. I love having enough money to finance the rest of my life, the time to be there for the people I love and the freedom to travel and help awesome women in business from where I am, not because I have to but because I love it. ❤️

Today I visited the condo I have in Paris with a view on the Eiffel Tower. Just getting out of the subway is a treat. I love this Greta lady. Never get bored of seeing her.

May be next year for 2024, I will come to settle in Paris, enjoy the city as a tourist and watch the Olympic Games🎊

I am so grateful for being my own boss, working from where I am so I can enjoy different cities and their charm around the world.

A road in the middle of nowhere…

When I crossed country from West to East and back, I have taken those kind of roads. Where you are alone, in your own company, enjoying the time to have time.

I remember the time when as a Leader at Airbus, single mom with an international career, Time was a luxury I could not afford.
I was the last one my my own list, putting all my energy in trying to stand up.

Till the day I chose to trust me and create my own money.

It was a road like this one. Alone, not knowing what I was doing, trying to figure out my next move.

Till I decide I was worth investing in myself like I would have invest to help my best friend or my family to grow. 😀

If you are on a road to success and you feel lonely. Don’t. We are here for you.

Ask question. Support your sisters. Engage.

You’ll see. All of a sudden everything has. A better taste and feel better.

When I created my first business 20 years ago, I was driven by my heart, full of dreams, expecting nthing else than fun!

It happened to be more complicated than expected.

I did not know how to make sales. I was afraid of selling. I was only interested in serving and helping my clients.

Today, my business sisters are consulting me to teach them how to sell with confidence!

What changed between then and now?
I have turned a framework I have used in my 35 yo of leadership and project manager to transform heavy and difficult-to-follow sales scripts into easy and fun sales conversation.
