We developed this blog to assist in answering questions that may arise regarding fast boats and how to achieve higher speeds using the latest in propulsion technology. This blog includes a propulsion Wiki, Forum moderated by France Helices’ engineers, and news about the latest developments in high speed craft. Feel free to browse, enjoy, and contact us with any questions. About France Helices:
F
ounded in 1977 by Mr. Paul Bezzi, France Helices was the pioneer in the development and manufacture of surface drive systems for fast boats. Ongoing research and development are a very important part of France Helices’ program. For instance, the CAD department is equipped with the latest computer technology that uses the most up to date programs, many written in-house and exclusive to France Helices. Our engineers and technicians determine, from the customers specifications and designs, the type of propulsion system necessary to suit the boat’s application. They can also advise on the ideal choice of power and optimum gearbox ratio to obtain the maximum thrust. Whereas other manufacturers simply make specific models of their equipment and try to “force” the application, every France Helices propulsion system is designed specifically for the vessel and its’ use. France Helices produces numerous innovations and holds many patents, such as the Surface Drive System (SDS) that enables boats to obtain very high speeds combined with unsurpassed handling capabilities for both professional use and pleasure application. France Helices constantly researches new developments using cavitation tunnel testing and guarantees high efficiency propeller blade shapes for our customers. More than 20,000 propellers per year are manufactured by France Helices in our workshops, in all sizes ranging from small sailing boats, to large fishing vessels, to navy boats, or mega yachts. The France Helices workshops are equipped with modern foundries capable of casting propellers up to 3.5 tons in NiBrAl. They are also equipped with CNC milling machines and CNC lathe machines. France Helices currently has production facilities at three locations in France (Cannes, Paris, Concarneau), Italy, Tunisia, and China. All manufacturing is performed in-house, and all equipment carries a one-year, extendable warranty. Our dealer network spans the globe, and all France Helices dealers are factory-trained to give you the highest level possible of local service and customer training. Company Locations:
