Introduce yourself in a few words:

Hello, I’m Harold, a 4th year student at UniLaSalle Rouen. And quality manager at UniLaSalle Projects Rouen.

I am Alexis, a 4th year student in the class of 2018 at UniLaSalle Rouen and the quality manager at UniLaSalle Projects Rouen since September 2021.

What are the missions of the department?

H: The verification of different documents produced by the Junior Enterprise, be it statues, posts for our numerous networks, etc. The aim is to check that everything is in order. Check that all documents are correctly formatted and that they respect the quality policy of the JE. In addition, we need to verify that the changes brought by the CNJE are applied to UniLaSalle Projects.

A: Reread all documents to make sure there are no spelling mistakes. It is also necessary to update certain documents because the JE, like any company, must constantly adapt to its environment and the various constraints to which it is subject.

The process sheets must also be updated so that the members of the Junior and others involved can carry out their tasks correctly.

Overall, the objective of the quality department is to make the Junior credible by making it feel rigorous, everything must be clean & clear.

What made you apply?

H: I was looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic group that would also allow me to have a sense of responsibility and to see the impact of my different actions on the group in question.

A: I felt like joining UniLaSalle Projects after my 3rd year internship, which I did in a company, as back at school I felt something lacking and wanted to get more involved. Therefore, when I heard that a position was available, I decided to apply.

What did UP bring you?

H: Since January 2021, thanks to the various training courses I attended, I gained skills and knowledge, particularly in CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), which now enables me to understand the various actions to be taken to develop a company on the environmental, economic and social levels.

I also acquired new skills in processes (setting up the different stages to obtain a finished product in a company, i.e. in the different divisions and through their interactions)

A : UP taught me to teamwork and flexibility.

Any advice?

H: Don’t hesitate to join and become a quality manager/officer, for example. It’s an enriching experience that will allow you to increase your skills and have a plus on your CV. It is also an opportunity to join a dynamic, proud and capable team promoting the development of UniLaSalle within individuals or companies.

Hi, I'm Lisa, I'm a 2nd year I-SAFE student at UniLaSalle Rouen. I joined in October 2020 as a project manager and now I oversee the communication department.

I'm Axelle, I'm also in I-SAFE 2020, 2nd year and I joined UP in March 2021 to be a communication officer.

Missions of the department:

Our missions revolve around internal, external and events’ communication. In internal communication, we target the school, the students, and the administration. We use it to get important messages across, to show that we exist and what we do, but also to recruit (consultant for the studies and members for the association).

In external communication it is to show that the Junior lives to the outside, therefore to our partners, to the JE of other schools and especially to the CNJE.

For the events and partnerships’ part, it’s the organization of events within the school or not (e.g. the egg hunt, Thanksgiving in partnership with the international club, etc.).

We also have a partnership with Make it Green. The aim of the partnerships is to get closer to the other associations in the school.

What made you join UP?

L: I joined the communication department to discover another department, but also for the creativity and freedom it stands for.

A: For my part, it's linked to an earlier experience I had in a company where I was already in external communication and events. But also for the creativity, the exchanges (with the school, the partners, etc.).

What did UP bring you?

L: UP gave me a lot of organization, rigor, and professionalism. The Junior also gave me a professional network, experience in a company and an added value to my CV.

A: First, a wonderful team, we get along very well, we spend great moments together! That too is a highlight in the Junior, the team buildings (accrobranching, laser games, etc.), the boards of directors! We motivate each other, we get moving! It also gives us professional experience, a network (via the CNH for example) and a little extra on our CV.

Any advice?

L: Don't wait for us to come and get you, take charge of your life, get out of your comfort zone, and come to UniLaSalle Projects! You will have an unforgettable experience. It can only bring you benefits.

A: I would like to pass on a little message from Baden Powell: "There is no point in standing still. You must choose between progress and regression. So, let's move forward and smile.”

Missions of the department :

We carry out studies to meet the demands of clients/companies by acting as an intermediary with the students, answering questions if there are any and filling in the documents linked to the studies.

What made you want to join UP?

First of all for the contact with students and companies, but also for the concrete side of conducting a study (seeing its evolution from A to Z), and finally, gaining skills.

What did you gain from it?

A lot of new skills, especially in organizational and teamwork. We were also able to understand how a company works and how projects are carried out.

Any advice?

It’s very enriching as when you come in you don’t know what to expect, when you haven’t done many internships and you don’t know what the business world is like. It’s very interesting to learn how companies and missions work, so don’t hesitate to join us!

Hello, my name is Clémence Beaufils, I am in 4th year at UniLaSalle. I am the treasurer of the association and I joined UP in March 2021.

What are the department’s missions?
P: The objective of the treasurer's office is to ensure the financial balance of the Junior. To do this, we draw up a provisional budget which we will follow throughout the mandate.
C: We must also make the social and fiscal declarations in time.
P: We are in contact with all the Junior’s departments. We do all the invoices for the companies and the payment slips for the students after their missions.

What made you apply for this job?
P: I joined the Junior to meet new people, to develop my skills in the accounting world, and business management and to get a particularly fair value on my CV.
C: I joined the Junior to get involved in the school's associative life, to be able to take my first steps in the business world (and not through an internship), to have an added value on my CV and to get out of my comfort zone

What did UP bring you?
P: Joining UP allowed me to step in the entrepreneurial world and develop skills, especially in business management and accounting.
C: The Junior brought me organization, rigor, accounting, and financial skills. It also allowed me to become more professional.

Any advice?
P: If you hesitate to join the Junior, you have nothing to worry about. You are trained, you are never alone. There are always alumni who can support you if you have any problems.
C: Indeed, we are still a student association, and we will always be there to help you if you need it, if you have any questions, etc.
P: Believe in yourself and join us!

Hi, I'm Julie Barbier, I'm in 4th year in the 2018 class. I am the General Secretary of the Junior Enterprise UniLaSalle Projets Rouen and I joined the junior in March 2021.

I am Blanluet Lauric, in 2nd year of pre-engineering cycle at UniLaSalle Rouen and in charge of human resources at UniLaSalle Projects Rouen since March 2021.

Missions of the pole:

J: In Secretary-HR, we have different missions.

As General Secretary, I oversee all the administrative management of the association, whether it be at the CNJE, school or internal level. The Secretary-HR unit manages recruitments, for members or for those involved in missions. The General Secretary deals with internal organization, such as the Board of Directors, the General Assembly, etc. And finally, she takes decisions in the small office with the treasurer and the president.

L: My missions within the Junior Enterprise are numerous. They include the management of new members – from the human and administrative point of view – the recruitment of actors for missions. Alumni's management, the management of everything related to trainings and the organization of team buildings.

What made you want to apply?

J: I wanted to have a first experience in the entrepreneurial world, to have new responsibilities. You must know that the Secretary General is part of the small office, and this is something that I wanted. Especially as the Secretary-HR department has a special relationship with the activities of the various departments of the association. I was interested by the relational aspect.

L: I joined the HR department for the human aspect, interaction with others, but also to discover because I had truly little human resources in my training until now. Overall, I went to UP to discover the business world in a safe and autonomous environment.

What did the JE give you?

J: It gave me a professional network but also a lot of internal relationships with students from different classes. I gained a lot of confidence and assurance in the steps I could take within the Junior with the responsibilities that went with my position. Throughout the mandate, we were trained, this allowed me to develop new skills in the professional world.

L: Thanks to the Junior Enterprise, I discover and master new tools of the business world. Yes, at the beginning, it can be scary, but you are supervised, trained, and unfortunately, the end of the mandate comes very quickly.

Any advice for those who are hesitating to take the plunge?

J: If I must give you one last piece of advice, do not hesitate to apply for your first experience in a company, you'll only grow from it!

L: Any advice? Go for it and join us!

UniLaSalle Projets Rouen starts its hiring phase for the new 2022-2023 mandate!

During this whole week, UP’s members are going to tell you how they feel about their mandate. And today, we are starting by the presidency pole, represented by Hugo Duflo, our current president!

Hi, I'm Hugo, I'm the president of UniLaSalle Projects, the Junior Enterprise of UniLaSalle Rouen.

Today, I'm in 4th year and this is my 2nd mandate in the Junior Enterprise. I did my first mandate as an accountant, and I am now at the end of my second mandate as president.

In the presidency, I spend most of my time exchanging, sharing, and discussing with the members of the association and our different stakeholders, such as the school, the CNJE, the students, but also the professionals we work with. I am here to find solutions, so that everyone can work together and efficiently to make the JE successful and competitive.

When I applied last year, this is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to meet people from the professional and student world, and to have this global vision of a company’s activities to understand how a company works concretely.

At first, it can be scary, I was scared, but it's open to everyone, we all start with the same knowledge, the same skills. We are trained before we start and it is important to know that you are all competent and capable, so don't hesitate to apply for a role that interests you and to contact us if you have any questions.
