Every honeymoon question I get eventually lands on the same thing: how do you stay close to Naoussa without paying Naoussa prices or dealing with Naoussa crowds?

My answer is almost always the same place and most people planning Paros have never heard of it: AMBELAS 🇬🇷

I’m not going to sell you a quiet village and leave out the part where you best of with a rental car and the whole place goes to sleep at 10pm. That’s a dealbreaker for some people and I’d rather you find out now than on night two of your honeymoon.

If it’s your kind of quiet, slides 4 and 5 are exactly where I’d book.

Most people think Paros is done by August. I’d take September every time 🌞

Naoussa in September is laneways you can actually walk through and the harbour at sunset without the crowd. Restaurants open, not slammed every night. That’s the version of the island worth booking.

The catches are real & on slide 6 names, but for a honeymoon or a slow trip where you want the island more than the chaos? September wins.

I’ve been to Bali more times than I can count and I still watch people make the same mistakes every single trip which are all avoidable if someone just tells you before you book.

Let me be that person! 😎

⬆️ The second one stings the most and is the easiest fix of all. I sort my eSIM with Jetpac | Travel eSIM before I’ve even left the country.

Comment “BALI” and I’ll send you the full breakdown of the best areas + an exclusive eSIM discount code 📩

If you’re staying in Naoussa on Paros, don’t over-plan it.

We had the best time staying here, slow mornings wandering the whitewashed streets of the Old Town before the crowds arrive, a drink at the little harbour while the fishing boats came in at golden hours, one dinner that turned into three hours. Give a day to Kolymbithres Beach (you can get there by water taxi from Naoussa) and leave the rest open.

The question I get asked most about Paros: do I actually need to rent a car? 🚗

It depends entirely on how you want to spend your trip...

If you’re based in Naoussa or Parikia and happy to stay close, you’ll be fine without one. But if you want to properly explore the island, see the villages, hit the beaches that aren’t walkable and do the Antiparos day trip without fitting around a ferry and bus schedule, rent the car.

And on scooters and ATVs, I’d only recommend them if you’re genuinely experienced. Accidents happen often on Paros, unfortunately. It’s not worth the risk if you’re not comfortable.

➡️ Every option is broken down in the slides.

Comment “CAR” and I’ll send you where I’d rent a car from in Paros and what to look out for when you book. Also, prices range from around €30 a day in low season to €80 in July and August, so booking early makes a real difference.
