In honor of 7 years of marriage, I’ve been thinking about the moments from our wedding that I wish I had held onto a little more closely.
Not the big ones. You never forget those.
But the in-between, blink-and-you-miss-it parts of the day that deserved just as much remembering.
If I could go back, here’s what I would have written down:
— the way my dad led our Cambodian ceremony, cracking jokes to make everyone feel at ease
— my parents figuring out how to dress us in traditional attire without any help, thousands of miles from home
— how loved and supported we felt by everyone who showed up in Tulum, just for us
— the moment it all began and realizing everything was taken care of by the incredible vendors and team we’d hired and entrusted. We could finally exhale.
— how fast it all went and how little of what I felt in those moments I actually captured
It’s easy to think you’ll remember everything.
But the truth is, the most meaningful parts are often the first to fade.
That’s exactly why I created The Mrs. Book 🤍 A place to hold onto it all, beautifully.
