*Long Stay Visas for France**
Just admit it! You want to live in France 😀 But you don't know how…
I got your back!
I've done the research on your behalf and there are a few different ways you can get your butt over here for the long haul!
1. Although only for rare and unique situations, a long stay visa for medical care or tourism is possible! The visa requirements are not as complex as other types because you won't have the right to legally work while you're here, but if you have the funds to support yourself while you're here and you can prove it, come on over! 🙌
2. You can come to France to work if you're self-employed or an employee of a company that's willing to sponsor you. There are sub-categories to both types of working visas which are further described in the link below but in a nutshell, you will need to prove your employment or company status. And the time it takes to receive the visa can be long depending on the situation. 👩⚖️
3. Studying in France is definitely possible depending on your situation. First off, you need to have been accepted by a school in French territory. Second, you need to prove that you have the ability to take care of yourself financially while you're here. Unlike the tourism visa, you are allowed to work while studying in France, so brushing up your French at work while studying in English is definitely a possibility 📚
4.Finally, you might be able to apply for a long stay visa if you have family in France. They have to obviously meet the requirements of being a resident in France but there are different conditions and possibilities that may apply.🧑🤝🧑
Check out the government sponsored link (in English) which will guide you through the different possibilities and subsequent steps:
