Renee Maria Osubu is an award-winning British-Nigerian photographer and filmmaker based in London. Her work explores community, identity, race, and childhood through the nuances of everyday life. Her acclaimed series Dear Philadelphia became an Oscar and BAFTA-qualifying short film, winning Best Short Documentary at BlackStar Film Festival and premiering at Sundance. Moving between film, photography, and commercial projects, her practice has been internationally recognized across major festivals, institutions, and brands, earning accolades including New Director of the Year at Shots and four Ciclope Awards.

Her short Dreamlands was the only UK film in competition at Cannes. A meticulous storyteller, she crafts human, performance-driven films rooted in authenticity and nuance. Congrats to writer/director of Santosh, Sandhya Suri on receiving the & Filmmaker Awards: Celebrating Creative Audacity, presented by BFI Fellow and Chanel Ambassador Tilda Swinton.

Speaking on Sandhya, the award jury said: « Cliché-free, with incredible performances, but it was Sandhya’s confident and captivating direction of her script of complex characters, that really impressed us. We also noted her bravery and poise in not only telling this important story but also in bringing it to audiences around the world.”

Leonard Rääf is a Swedish writer and director based in Copenhagen. He studied at the International Film School of Paris and focuses on emotional, narrative-driven filmmaking rooted in the human experience. His short film ‘Renard Rouge’ won Best Nordic Short at the Nordic International Film Festival in New York. In 2018, he co-founded Holocene Studios in Denmark following the success of ‘Clay’, shot in Iceland and selected at over 25 festivals worldwide. Leonard has written and directed five short films, with the latest set for release in 2025. He also directs international campaigns for brands like IKEA and McDonald’s, known for his cinematic approach to everyday life — a “perfectly undone” style.

A New York-based filmmaker, Colin first made his mark by writing short fiction, before moving on to become an icon of skate filmmaking. His award-winning films Tengu: God of Mischief and Spirit Quest then led to collaborations with Radiohead, Apple, Converse, and more.

Now at Frenzy Paris, he’s embracing new creative challenges alongside his lazy sidekick, Badger, who’s already busy stealing the spotlight (and a few snacks).
