Retail has never been just a job to me.✨

It has been a place of joy, curiosity, and constant movement — a space to learn, to live, to exchange. Above all, a place of never-ending conversations.

Yes, I’ve had a rich professional journey, full of exploration and growth.
Yes, I’ve built a rewarding academic career, grounded in learning and specialization.

But the most impactful constant throughout it all has been exchange— the human kind.

Whether at work, on the shop floor, in markets, classrooms, conferences, or podcasts, exchange has always meant learning first… and then giving back.

For over 15 years, across 5 countries, I’ve had the privilege of teaching and learning alongside more than 1,000 students — many of whom became colleagues.
I’ve shared my stories and learned from theirs. I’ve invited specialists, academics, and professionals into my classrooms, and I’ve been honored to be invited into theirs.

I’ve attended conferences, opened some, keynoted others. I’ve joined roundtables, hosted voices on my podcast, and been invited to speak on many more. I’ve shared perspectives on national television and radio. Each experience reinforced the same belief: knowledge grows through dialogue.

To everyone who has crossed my path, thank you.
Thank you for shaping me, challenging me, and making me a better person.
Thank you for making retail more meaningful.

Human connections and meaningful encounters are everything. They bring joy, offer perspective, and constantly challenge the way I see the world. They allow me to receive stories, insights, news, and learning—and just as importantly, to share my own experiences, knowledge, and reflections.

Yesterday was a perfect illustration of this. I had the pleasure of finally meeting Nina and Steve, in an exceptional Parisian setting, for a rich and inspiring conversation around all things retail.

I’ll say no more for now—but I’m very much looking forward to sharing more about this exchange very soon.

Oof — it’s that time of year again.
The moment when we pause, gather our thoughts, and look back at everything we’ve done so far.

It’s a time to celebrate achievements, reflect on lessons learned, and evaluate what comes next. A moment to assess, analyze, and imagine new ways to grow, improve, innovate, and bring fresher ideas forward.

2025 has been full of great projects and meaningful accomplishments — but also a few disappointments. And that’s normal. Nothing is perfect. In fact, those challenges are often what force us to stop, reflect, and evolve.

Today, I choose to focus on the good:
on the people I met,
the projects we completed,
the chapters written,
the papers presented,
and the research developed.

I’m especially grateful for the inspiring individuals I met throughout the year — whether during webinars, seminars, conferences, or in the classroom. I also think fondly of the speakers I had the pleasure of inviting into those spaces. Just reflecting on these moments fills me with gratitude.

I hope everyone takes time to stop, look back at what they’ve accomplished, and reflect on the next steps ahead.

Wishing you all a meaningful pause, a beautiful break, happy holidays, a Merry Christmas to those celebrating, and a strong, inspiring kickstart to 2026. ✨

What a beautiful session we held this morning, Decoding Retail.

We successfully unlocked the seasonal retail specifics by exploring Christmas as a cultural phenomenon, retail operations as a yearly cycle, and the customer journey as a series of distinct phases.

We also examined how the “end of year” period is expressed across different countries.

Several concepts and a structured framework were presented, and we even had the pleasure of sharing how retail will be decoded in 2026.

Hello, December.

As we enter the final chapter of the year, I find myself pausing—just for a moment—to look back before looking ahead.

2025 has been a year of building, learning, and meaningful work.

A year filled with projects that challenged me, books I had the joy of writing, papers that found their way into publication, courses I was privileged to deliver, and retail tours that reminded me why I love this industry so deeply.

Walking through the streets of Paris recently, I captured a small moment of calm—one that made me grateful for every opportunity, every collaboration, every conversation that shaped this year.

December is my month for reflection and recalibration.
A time to gather energy, refine vision, and open space for what’s next.
