The Le Grand Lab Our research aim at deciphering how extracellular signals regulate muscle stem cell fate.

Understanding the molecular mechanisms by which stem cells undergo cell fate decisions, especially self-renewal, is one of the fundamental goals of modern regenerative medicine. Reconstruction of the adult skeletal muscle tissue relies on a pool of resident committed muscle stem cells called the satellite cells.
