We are simply a production agency built from a community of artists

www.flofferz.com

We are a young, bi-annual visual publication designed to help bring awareness to issues affecting our generation. We look to support charities close to our hearts through thought-provoking artistic contents sourced by a community of creatives worldwide. Each issue is dedicated to a charity of choice. Our community of young creatives come together to create works of greater meaning. The art works i

n this issue are for sale with proceeds going to The Global Fund's fight against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. By connecting fashion and arts with charitable causes, we hope to be a catalyst for change in generations to come. All art sales and donations accepted through the for ISSUE 001 have proceeds going to the charity

From Travelling around the world we have encountered all walks of life. This is a personal project showcasing a diverse community of artists that share the same values when it comes to their work. http://www.flofferz.com/donations/

Sheet Guts Stir Fry: Project 001 video showcases
Ramata’s view on the concept of colonization through a sacrificed
sheep insides in collaboration with visual artist Nuits Balnéaires

Colonization is a process whereby a central system of power dominates a land and its components. With colonization comes the removal of our guts; the ability to acquire knowledge without recourse to conscious reasoning; like trained sheep we believed what they sold us. We lost it all, even our beliefs that everything on Earth has a powerful spirit that can aide human needs. We used to believe that the spirits of our dead ancestors were present on Earth and existed in animals or inanimate objects. They made us believe that what we worshiped; our very beliefs both historical and cultural, we're evil. They made us worship according to their beliefs, their religion, their culture; through ‘education’. We were, and are, now under a system of foreign dictatorship. We are lost, constrained to no identity save for the one they created for us.

Beauty is in imperfection.
Beauty is imposed, in a shared intersubjective experience proliferated through the common mediums.
Beauty is a teaching, a learnt thing.
There are always outsiders. Those who see beauty, the fine lines, textures, colors, shaped by nature, even in the grotesque.
Be an outsider.
Be on the side of nature.
We are ready to express ourselves with you.

The institution encloses you behind barbed wire fences in a gulag archipelago of the mind. Prior to that moment when we are ruptured from the womb, thrown into the world, we have been branded.
We don't start out as blank slate with all opportunities before us, instead our identity is overdetermined in our milieu.
Culture and its institutions are grounded in its symbols: rules, rituals, myths, and spoken and unspoken laws; symbols seared in our skin, burnt into our pupils...

WE ALL LIVE IN CASTLE

Somewhere, proper people idly sit in proper rooms. A deafening silence permeating the substance of all things. Conversation is out of the question, always at the wrong time and always out of place. It’s been tried and now it’s seen as a risky thing. However, deathly silence doesn’t speak, it screams, relating more than any endless stream of words. Behind the cold ritual performed by the druids of the ordinary an unseen fire burns for the blind keeping them warm in the shivering rooms of The Castle. Outside, a barren frigid landscape welcomes no visitors.

This week we will be attending PERFECTION ROBERT MAPPLETHORPE at the In Montreal Canada.

One of the most influential photographers of the twentieth century, Robert Mapplethorpe (1946-1989) gained renown for his masterful compositions and subjects that have compelled new reflection on questions of gender, race and sexuality.

Tracing the artist’s entire career, from his early production in the late 1960s to his untimely death in 1989, the exhibition features close to 300 works that shed new light on the key genres that Mapplethorpe pursued: portraiture, the n**e and the still life. It reveals the photographer’s working methods and techniques, presenting the improvisational, experimental aspects of his practice alongside the aesthetic perfection of his prints.
