Our very own Hervé Joyaux Fabre has been shortlisted once again by the for the impressive title of Red Winemaker of the Year.
We are incredibly proud of Hervé and to receive such recognition from the global wine industry for his work is a huge honour.

As Europe continues to swelter in record temperatures, we are grateful for the sanctuary provided by the cellars at le Prieuré de Cénac.

Its cool tunnels and cavern provide a welcome retreat, in the good company of our wines that are quietly ageing there until ready to be released.

The sun is shining so it is time to treat ourselves to a chilled glass of La Vierge Blanche.

This is a special wine in our range, made from 100% Chardonnay which comes from a very small parcel on our estate.

Citrus notes and minerality dominate a delicate aromatic palette. Full, generous, rich and dynamic flavours, with great length.

A seriously delicious wine.

Our Prieuré de Cénac vineyards are a special place for Hervé. Under his careful stewardship, these vines produce malbec of the highest quality.

When he and Diane first visited the property Hervé recalls: “We both stood quite still and were both struck by its beauty and overwhelmed with an incredibly good and peaceful feeling”.

Hervé has learnt how Cahors is blessed with incredible and sometimes rare terroir from which comes the finest and most mineral wines. Ambitious as well as visionary, Hervé and Diane aim to raise the Prieuré de Cénac to the level of the highest great French Terroir wine.

La Vierge comes from a special parcel on our estate and illustrates the beauty of Malbec.
The 2023 vintage was awarded 94 points by the
“Plush juicy fruit with a pure concentrated palate. A sleeper fully dense requiring time to reach full potential”

Herve is always happiest when among his vines.
The iron and limestone present in the soils at le Prieuré de Cénac are part of this incredible terroir where our Malbec vineyards thrive.
