[PEOPLE OF MONITOR DELOITTE PARIS] - Jessica Weddle
📢What was your background before joining Monitor Deloitte Paris?
Before Monitor, I worked for a public affairs consulting firm in California, helping foundations and non-profits. In 2010 I interned at Monitor Paris and joined the NYC office in 2011. I was drawn to Monitor’s history, experience in economic development, and its deep connections to the academic world. A few years ago I transferred back to the Paris office.

📢Your most captivating project?
Hard to choose! One of my favorite projects was helping a large insurance company think through an enterprise-level strategy for improving the health of the populations it served. As part of the mission, we had to define "health" and what "improving health by 20%" looked like. It was a nice mix of rigorous analytical thinking and out-of-the-box creativity.

📢As the head of Paris's diversity and inclusion initiative, how would you describe the firm’s culture?
International, friendly, quirky and fun. We define diversity by all the dimensions that make us different – gender, nationality, sexual orientation, educational background, age, etc., Monitor’s culture truly supports and celebrates difference, and we are a richer group of people because of it.

📢What motivated you to become a strategy consultant at Monitor Deloitte Paris?
I joined Monitor Deloitte in 2017, after studying public affairs and business management (Sciences Po Paris and ESCP Europe). I’m passionate about societal issues (e.g., politics, economics, environment) and struggled between going into the public or private sector. A career in strategy consulting allowed me to find the balance between my passion and profession.

📢What makes Monitor unique?
Its extraordinary culture: flat hierarchy - accessibility of top management & level of responsibilities, - an intrapreneurship spirit, and a benevolent atmosphere.

📢Your most captivating project?
I had the opportunity to help a large OEM with designing and implementing their “New Mobility Service” strategy. During the project, we built mobility business models and helped our client to deploy their fleet in the streets of Paris.

📢Your next achievement?
We are working on an exciting opportunity to create a joint consulting offer between Monitor Deloitte and Deloitte Sustainable Development, to help our clients to embed sustainability at the core of corporate strategy and transform their business models.

[PEOPLE OF MONITOR DELOITTE PARIS] - Francesca Colli Lanzi
📢What motivated you to join Monitor Deloitte?
I wanted to discover strategy consulting after graduating from Bocconi University & Sciences Po Paris (with multiple internships in public administration). I chose Monitor Deloitte in Milan for its strong international presence, growth, and dynamism.

📢What could you tell us about your transfer from Milan to the Paris office in 2017?
I asked for a transfer when I was still a Consultant. The process took less than 6 months and when I arrived at the Paris office, I felt immediately integrated. What surprised me the most was the richness of nationalities, academic backgrounds, and personalities in the office. Being different was actually the norm!

📢How would you describe Monitor Deloitte’s culture?
By its core values. Top of mind comes diversity: we recruit diverse, but complementary profiles. There’s also benevolence: Monitor people are always willing to help each other. Then comes flexibility: remote work is easy, and you can adapt your agenda to your constraints. Recently, I gave birth to my first child and when I took a 6-month maternity leave I felt supported 100% by my firm.
