Feeling incredibly fulfilled and grateful after an amazing week at CLIA’s Cruise360.

It’s been my third year as part of this production team, and each year reminds me how lucky I am to work alongside such talented, passionate people all over the world. Thank you Caroline Johnson, Charlie Sylvia Rebecca C***s and Darren Heater for having me as part of your team again!

It’s truly a team effort that makes the magic happen and each and everyone on this team is going above and beyond to make the dream come true.

This year, I’m especially grateful to celebrate the success of our CLIA Hall of Fame winners — a reminder of the impact and heart that drive industries forward.

I’ll be carrying the words of Lifetime Achievement Award Winner Drew Daly with me:“Get out of your head, get out of your own way. If there’s something you want to do, just DO IT. Look to others for help and focus on having fun. The more fun you have, the more fulfilled and successful you’ll become.” And I will repeat the quote from Maya Angelou Drew so beautifully recited in his acceptance speech “Prepare yourself so you can be a rainbow in someone else’s cloud.” So let’s do just that!

Last week in Rotterdam 🇳🇱; Bringing together cruise industry leaders, policy makers and innovators from across the cruise and maritime sectors for an opportunity to connect and discuss the work being accomplished to define the future of cruising.

Thank you Natalie Hall-Gearing, Karyn Gruenberg, Julie Green and the entire CLIA team for welcoming me into your team again to produce the Plenary sessions and be the lead for the European Summit's educational team.

And what a team we had! Bringing “the band” back together again and welcoming new top notch event pros into the team. I say it all the time, but team work makes the dream work and I could not have wished for a better team to support CLIA and welcome 125 presenters and panelists onto stage during the Plenary and breakout sessions.

Here's to conquering challenges, pushing boundaries, and achieving results together!

Two events, two cities and one incredible week.

First up: Budapest, where I had the pleasure of show calling The European Enterprise Promotion Awards coordinated by the European Commission again.

As a small business owner, I love seeing entrepreneurs and small business from Europe receiving recognition for some incredible projects that are being developed.

Home again from Fort Lauderdale, USA, after a splendid week of Producing the Plenary Sessions of the Sold Out CLIA Cruise360 week.

This conference brings together travel professionals, cruise line representatives, ports & destinations, industry suppliers and CLIA | Cruise Lines International Association preferred partners for a truly panoramic view of the cruise industry.

It has been a week filled with “Pure Imagination” where our host W***y Wonka – aka CLIA VP, Trade Relations & Industry Special Envoy Charles Sylvia, used storytelling at its finest to bring key messages across in a fun and accessible way. It is event design elements like these that make events more memorable and that drive impact!

40 presenters to stage over the course of three days plus a phenomenal awards show honouring those who made a big impact on the Cruise industry and no less than 3 big entertainment acts (Wizard of Oz, Mamma Mia and Million Dollar Quartet).

Thank you so much Caroline, Charles Sylvia, ECC, Danielle from team CLIA, Darren Heater and Rebecca C***s for welcoming me into the Cruise360 family again. As always team work makes the dream work and I am very grateful to have been working again with this great team.

The CLIA European Summit 2024 is a wrap! It was an incredible week of teamwork and quite simply groundbreaking achievements as we turned what many deemed impossible into reality.

The European Summit launched in 2022 and it stands as the premier platform where cruise industry leaders, policymakers, media, and the maritime sector converge to define the future of cruising.

Congratulations Marie-Caroline Laurent, Karyn G. and Natalie Hall-Gearing and the entire CLIA team with the tremendous success of this event and thank you for welcoming me into your team again to produce the Summit Hall Plenary sessions and be the lead for the Summit's educational team.

As always, it is team work that makes the dream work and I am immensely proud of the remarkable individuals who stood by Natalie and me throughout this journey.

The numbers are quite impressive: We welcomed over 90 presenters and panelists onto stage during the 8 Plenary Sessions in the Summit Hall and more than 140 presenters, moderators and panelists provided their knowledge and insights during the break-out sessions program plus CLIA’s educational offering on the Expo floor.

This past week was the perfect example that when passion and expertise converge, there's no limit to what can be achieved.

Here's to conquering challenges, pushing boundaries, and achieving greatness together. I can't wait to see what we'll accomplish next when we meet in in 2025!

TOXINS 2024 is a wrap! The International Neurotoxin Association organizes an extraordinary conference once every two years - TOXINS, important for anyone dealing with botulinum toxin in medicine.

Extraordinary because it is interdisciplinary. It was attended by both laboratory scientists and also clinicians - doctors who use this drug daily with patients, which is quite unique in medical conferences. And what made this even more special is that there were several live hands-on injection workshops with patients receiving injections right there in the room.

Thank you Lisa for welcoming me into your family as your break out session producer and to support the F&B side of this event. And thank you team Estrel Berlin for the professional and pleasant support, with a special shout out to Laura, Cornelia, Michael and Stephan from Estrel for going above and beyond to make this a successful event!

Bye bye Bilbao! On my way again after show calling The European Enterprise Promotion Awards coordinated by the European Commission.

As a small business owner myself, this show is quite special to me, as it rewards those who promote entrepreneurship and small business at the national, regional and local level in Europe.

November is all about Events in Southern Europe. Last week it was a site visit in Italy, yesterday I arrived in Spain to prepare and show call an awards show and later this week it is onwards to Monaco for another site visit.

Aren’t we lucky to be able to see the world and experience so many different cultures and collaborate with the best and brightest people along the way.

Just had an incredible time at the IMEX trade show!

Expanding my connections with the experience design community was inspiring! Thanks Naomi Clare Crellin & Megan Henshall, CMP, DES for sharing the Google XI Days case study and the great follow up conversation. You have inspired me and I look forward to contribute.

Loved gaining access to the latest industry trends, keeping our industry ahead of the game. Just LOVED to be able to experience the power and possibilities the HOLOPLOT immersive sound solutions can offer to overcome common av challenges.

And of course the reconnecting with old and new friends from this fantastic industry and taking time for business and personal conversations to take place is what it is truly all about!

This annual virtual event welcomed Internet Society members from all over the world to reflect on the future of the Internet.

It was an honour to be the producer for this event again, enabling conversations to take place to discuss key choices facing the Internet in 2023, and what we can do today to shape it for future generations.

Months of preparation together with the great team at Internet Society went into the planning for this event, where we welcomed 68 presenters to our virtual stages on Accelevents, hosted by the charismatic Lily Edinam Botsyoe! Congratulations Christine and Raquel and to all your colleagues with a very successful event!

And, as always, team work makes the dream work and I was thrilled to be able to collaborate again with the fantastic pixl evolution Entertainment Technology Partners team to support this ! Paul Hutton, thank you for all your support and for bringing a great team along! Thank you's as well to our simultaneous interpretation partner AV Department Limited and realtime captioning partner Caption First.
