Heading to Bulgaria 🇧🇬
🤝Together with Atanas, Director of the Bulgarian Montbéliarde Breeders' Association, we visited several farms in the heart of the Bulgarian mountains. 🐮
In these grass-based systems, Montbéliarde cows show their key strengths: robustness, fertility, longevity, and outstanding forage efficiency. Another great example of the breed's ability to thrive in diverse environments while delivering strong economic performance. 🧬
👉We also discovered a key feature of Bulgarian dairy farming: many farmers process their milk directly on the farm into cheese, yogurt, butter, and other dairy products. That's why they need cows producing rich, high-quality milk perfectly suited for processing. 🧀🥛 Here again, the Montbéliarde breed stands out thanks to its milk quality and its ability to create added value on farms. 💪
