Two years of writing about love, lust, wine + (mis)adventure in the south of France. To celebrate, I made a little video + gave a my substack a sexy little makeover.

This month I’ll be writing about the art of the pootle, the importance of the apéro, what to really drink down here, and maybe - if I am feeling bold - a word or two on rebounding like a 38 year old legend.

A little reintroduction: I’m Amber - a wine professional based in the south of France, and this post is about my career and the different ways we could work together.

From harvests and cellar work, to becoming a Michelin-trained sommelier, and then Wine Director at London’s NoMad Hotel, it has been a wild ride. And now, I’m hosting bespoke wine tours and sourcing wine.

Along the way I’ve also found my voice in writing — words in the FT, Decanter, The Buyer, and a profile in the Guardian — and helped wine brands with their comms, occasionally dabbling in PR.

These days, here’s how we could work together:

• Wine tours — I run Buvette Tours, taking private and corporate guests behind the scenes of the wine world, by boat and into the cellars and vines of organic + biodynamic producers
• Wine sourcing — I co-founded Deux Soeurs Wine Export, connecting organic and biodynamic European winemakers with importers in the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand
• Writing & brand comms — I help wine brands and importers with copy, PR and brand voice

From Girona, to the Ardèche, Vienna and all the way back to Sète, this has been perfectly gorgeous few weeks filled with so my love, so much food, all of the wine and all the Chartreuse a girl could ever need.

A little love letter to Lozère; the land of fresh water, chesnuts, altitude, meat with every meal + the definition of bucolic.

Feel very lucky to have visited just as spring was spinging, with everything in bloom, blossom + with the morel season (April only) in full swing 🌸🍄‍🟫🌲☀️
