🌲Running in the snow is so glorious. Not quite up there with snowboarding, but it fits in well with our last chilled weekend before life gets very busy!

🎄In 3 weeks the kids are off for 2 weeks over Christmas, so this is a reminder to contact me with anything you need admin wise, or else I’ll chat to you in 2026!

🤪Anyway, ignore me being unaware as this is EXCELLENT news. Holders of the 5 year Brexit card can now renew it online! I’ll post the link to this page in my bio, navigate there and follow instructions, which include a list of what you need to provide!

📋Why not tie in an trip to the lake with an admin day in Thonon? Sometimes it’s easier to do it in person, & as well as the tax office & sous-préfecture, Thonon also has a CPAM office for sorting out your French healthcare

📑TAXE FONCIERE📑

📆Did you receive an ‘Avis de Taxe Fonciere’ earlier this month?

🤨Wondering what it all means? The ‘taxe foncière’ is an annual local property tax in France paid by property owners, whether the property is occupied, rented out, or even left vacant.

🧮It’s calculated according to rental value of your property (even if very different to the actual amount you do rent it for!) x the sum of local tax rates.

1️⃣Whoever owned the property on 1st January of the same year needs to pay the tax, so make sure that’s you before paying!

🍁The seasons are changing and at this time of year I start thinking about preparing for the winter 🥶

🧼For me that means some deepcleaning (I used to run a cleaning company donchakno), organising summer > winter clothes, but also getting all my own admin bits sorted out!
