🌍 Join us for an insightful Africa Economy webinar on Strengthening Professional and Vocational Skills in Africa to Foster Economic Development!

📅 Mark your calendars for May 7th at 12pm as we delve into a crucial topic for our continent's future with our experts Keiko Alvarez policy analyst from OECD Development and Pr Adewumi Adebisi

's population is predicted to exceed 2.5 billion by 2050, with over 60% of our population under 25, therefore addressing youth unemployment and providing our workforce with necessary skills is crucial. Not to forget, Africa has the greatest hashtag rate, with 60% of youngsters unemployed or underemployed. Developing vocational and professional skills empowers our youth, provides job-ready skills that meet industry needs across sectors and drives African economic growth.

As African governments prioritize investments in basic education and skill development, it is imperative that they align these efforts with the goals of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

By fostering educational reform geared towards equipping young people with the necessary knowledge and skills, governments can empower them to actively participate in the socioeconomic development of their nations and capitalize on the opportunities presented by the AfCFTA.

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are the backbone of economies and vital to country and continent development, thus focused policies and actions to promote their growth and sustainability must be prioritized alongside educational reforms.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to be part of the conversation shaping Africa's future!

🌍 Today is the day!

Join us today May 2nd for our Webinar on and Wearable Medical Devices in Africa: Transforming Healthcare Accessibility in Africa. 📅

We'll explore why telemedicine is crucial for Africa's landscape, improving access to healthcare for all with our experts Adam Selamnia & Izhar Mahjoub💻

Africa faces various healthcare challenges, including shortages of healthcare professionals, inadequate infrastructure, and disease burdens such as HIV/AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis.

Thus, Telemedicine and wearable medical devices have the potential to bridge the gap in healthcare , especially in remote and underserved areas of Africa where access to healthcare facilities is limited. These enable individuals to receive medical consultations, monitoring, and diagnosis remotely, reducing the need for physical visits to healthcare centers and providing remote healthcare services, real-time monitoring of patients, and early detection of health issues.

The integration of telemedicine and wearable medical devices opens up new possibilities for healthcare delivery and patient care in Africa. As technology continues to advance, there is potential for further in remote diagnostics, teleconsultations, and personalized , ultimately leading to better health outcomes for individuals across the continent.

Looking forward to the discussion with our experts and representative of Ministries of Health from different African countries to see how they are integrating telemedecine & wearable medical devices to have the greater impact on their communities.

The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) aims to create the world's largest single market by facilitating trade between African countries. Efficient movement of goods and people is crucial for realizing the full potential of this initiative, which is expected to boost intra-African trade and stimulate economic growth across the continent.

🌍 Join us for an insightful discussion TODAY April 30th at our Africa Economy Webinar! 📆

We'll delve into the Movement of Goods and People in Africa within the context of the AfCFTA with our experts Chawki Jaballi, Head of Division Customs Capacity Building and Training, AfCFTA Secretariat and Alastair Tempest, ceo of Ecommerce Forum Africa.

People mobility and regional integration are essential for harnessing the full potential of the AfCFTA. By promoting regional cooperation and collaboration, countries can leverage each other's strengths, address common challenges, and work towards shared goals of economic development and prosperity. Thus we are looking forward as always to the experience sharing of the different African authorities participating from countries such as hashtag , hashtag , hashtag , Cote d'Ivoire, hashtag .

Enhanced hashtag of goods and people can lead to inclusive economic growth by creating opportunities for hashtag , fostering hashtag , and generating employment opportunities across various sectors thus a key topic to focus on without forgetting the role of digital transformation.

Leveraging hashtag for efficient supply chains not only improves logistics and transportation but also enhances transparency, reduces paperwork, and facilitates real-time tracking and monitoring of goods, thereby increasing overall efficiency and competitiveness.

🚀Success thrives on connections and visibility.🚀

In 2023, we took the leap and consistently built on our journey, capitalizing on our learnings and connections.

In 2022 we had the opportunity to meet and discuss with His Excellency Amabssador Albert Muchanga, Union Commissioner for Economic Development, , , , and Minerals briefly for the first time at the OECD Development 21st Africa Forum and gave us the opporutnity to introduce ourselves and our Africa Webinars initiative.

It was important for us to start the conversation as we believe firly in collaboration and how we can all contribute on our end, every stakeholder has a role to play in any sector and especially . Thus we wanted to see how our webinars can support in any possible way but also learn from this visionary. if you didn't know, Ambassador Muchanga was a key player in shaping Africa's landscape & led the negotiation and ratification of the

During the 22nd Africa Forum last October per the invite again of the OECD Development Center Africa Unit Team led by Arthur Minsat (whom I'll always thank for his support and collabroation), we had the change to sit down to present to his Excellency the outcomes of the webinars and the upcoming Africa Growing Economy Conference, hear his thoughts and ensure that this panafrican & continental gathering and workshop could lead to an impact.

Shortly after, we proudly guided His Excellency around the pavilion at the Intra-African Trade Fair in , strengthening our connection and showcasing Algeria's potential especially as Algeria prepares to host the IATF in 2025. These interactions are not just episodic; they are about building and learning.

💡 Entrepreneurial Tip: Your presence matters! Our experience highlights the importance of being where it counts. From introducing our Africa Webinars to exploring synergies, each interaction has paved the way for meaningful collaborations.

🌟 Every step is a lesson, every challenge an opportunity, and every partnership a building block for success

Last year had the opportunity to be invited and participate for the second year in the 4th edition of Choiseul Africa Forum with main topic "Economic Sovereignty for Africa."

🌍The honour country for this edition was . I had the privilege of reconnecting with Vice President Mariam Chabi TALATA, meeting a dynamic Benin business delegation, experiencing the "Invest in Benin Session" opportunities, and reconnecting with friends and entrepreneurs like Adetoye Aguessy, CEO of Technologies, and Séphora-mischaël Ibrahim Amoussa.

One of the key panel we were really keen on taking part to was on Public-Private Partnerships ( ) and the imperative of interregional cooperation. The insights gained were eye-opening, shedding light on innovative approaches to economic sovereignty. 🌐

As private sector actors, we must always consider how we can contribute and build trust with the government like we try to with through our Africa webinars and initiatives. Only through true partnerships with each actor can we drive the growth of our continent.

All players can shape Africa's economic future. Economic sovereignty is a practical approach to sustainable development and empowerment. 🌱

🌟 When we talk about women and women empowerment, we aren't excluding men!
Remember last October@ufmsecretariat & UNIDO Women Business Forum in Tunisia and its buzz?🎉

Good moments and fantastic people to meet, but this event was more than that.

Did you know? Only 25% of received training, despite 65% wanting it. The 26% gender gap in AI jobs highlights the need for reform. The topic "Women in and : can industry 4.0 foster women's economic inclusion in the MENA region" was appropriate because while women often work in hand crafts or services, some are also in manufacturing and industry 4.0 but not enough. We need to encourage them to go there.

Industries drive and enable national economic and social growth. Thus, Industry 4.0 must include more women.

Our founder chiraz Bensemmane falicitated a a brainstorming session focused on the crucial "Need of women in industry 4.0 & tech." A call to action, not just a conversation. With 30 women entrepreneurs and wome from the entrepreneurial ecosytem, they addressed challenges and explored policy, education & financial support options to address them and increase women's inclusion and engagement. It was about creating a change plan.

This 2 day event was also the opportunity to network & hear from all the different stakeholders agencies, ministries, entrepreneurs, clusters etc, men & women!
We moderated a session on digitalization, AI, and sustainable growth. It wasn't just about tech jargon; it's about deciphering the impact of these innovations on our businesses and communities. but there were also talking on glass ceiling, limitation.

Here is the report if you want to know more: https://lnkd.in/et2VqYxy

Some of our takeways :
🌟 "If you're bored, you aren't in your zone of genius."
🌟Let's more for more collabroative effort, representation and support at all level,
🌟Reminding the crucial role mentoring and technical education

This isn't just about numbers & talks;it's about empowerment, breaking barriers, & recognizing the untapped potential in every woman.

Let's keep the conversation alive and walk the talk! 🌐✨
