Koala & Mama Koala & Mama Malta is a babywearing consultancy guiding you to wear your little one in a safe and ergonomic way. Pauline, certified babywearing consultant

*** Koala & Mama ***

Koala and Mama Malta was born from the passion to babywear. From woman to mother, from tummy to arms, what started as another way to go around with my son became a passion with the desire to pass it on. Babywearing goes back as far as motherhood does, and roots in the desire to keep what's most precious to us close. Across the globe, women carry their little ones for practica

l reasons but also to provide comfort and closeness to their children. I was very lucky to meet many amazing parents during my babywearing journey and share stories about how babywearing had been a lifesaver practice. From teething or achy babies to traveling, putting little ones to sleep or having hands free to do housework or attend to the needs of older child, I honestly don't know how we would have managed in a lot of situations without the ability to wear our babies. Certified babywearing consultant, I guide mums, dads, and everyone that desires to carry a little one in finding the best carrier and carries to fit their needs, in a safe and ergonomic way. Beginner group workshops, advanced group workshops, gastric reflux babies group workshops and 1 to 1 class available upon booking. Learn about various types of carriers and how to use them (ring sling, stretchy wraps, woven wraps, soft structured carriers, water slings and Meh-Dai)

Although tailored to needs, all workshops cover safety rules, tips on babywearing in the heat/cold, breastfeeding & babywearing, and any question/concern you might have addressed. Workshops take place in on demand in Toulon, in the comfort of a home where you can take the time to feed, change nappies or entertain as needed. There is never more than 4 families at a time, so I can attend to everyone fully. Don't hesitate to message me for any question,

Happy babywearing

I didn't think I would carry this "little one" ever again. He is gigantic, so independant, and pretty opinionated for a soon to be 4 year old!

Extreme situations call for extreme measures and we had a nice long "walk" on the roof of our building, spotting friends' houses, churches, and other familiar landmarks.

Stay safe everyone & enjoy the time with your little ones 💕

3 hours of sweetness to share a passion. First in French, then joined by a Polish family, we switched to English with some French again to facilitate learning. Lison-Edouard, born a little early, 3 weeks and freshly out of the neonatal care unit, weighs just 3kg. He fits in the palm of the hand, covered with ebony hair and so small he reminds us how fast little ones grow. Bruno seems huge by his side, although he is only 2 months. He has big eyes, neither blue nor gray, they will light up soon, judging by the azure eyes of his parents.

3 hours to ask questions, to reassure, to explain the safety rules, to show, to do, to redo, to practice. 3 hours with Hugo, Ergobaby doll, weighted and resembling a new born. 3 hours cadenced by baby bottles, feeds, changing nappies and little squeaks proper to such little babies.

Sunday was ring sling workshop for little ones, and 4 times I had the joy and privilege to carry too.

Passion and patience, book recommendations, links to be sent, giving confidence to parents, listening, sharing knowledge and experiences. Talking to the babies before taking them on me, soothing them. Happy parents, wonderful little ones, oxytocin flowing and a Sunday afternoon that gives a smile. Thank you!

My Koala ❤️

He is 3 years and almost 3 months.

He weights 20 kg 😅

He is SO independent.

He eats alone. Dresses alone. Goes to the bathroom alone.

He has also improved his speech so much over the past months 🗯

But sometimes...

He still struggles to express his emotions. He doesn’t know how to handle his tantrum. He is too proud to ask for a mama hug.

Then I ask if he’d like to go for a wrap hug. And nothing in the world matters anymore, just him and I 👩🏼👶🏼

He puts his head against my chest. He crawls in a ball and becomes my tiny baby once again. He synchronizes his heartbeat with mine. He asks for cuddles and his favorite lullabies.

I whisper comforting thoughts in his ears. We look around, we share, we chat. We solve problems, we go for the word, hand in hand, heart on heart.

I don’t babywear to go around anymore . I carry my (gigantic yet adorable) son because it’s our thing, our moment to be 120% dedicated to each other, to give love, to let the frustrations go and focus on the biggest hug anyone could hope for.

The 4th trimester is long over, but they still need the hugs. And so do we ❤️
