From a customer–supplier relationship to a true strategic industrial partnership. This is the ambition we should pursue.

It was a great pleasure to welcome the OHB SE team to HEMERIA, giving them a firsthand view of our cleanroom facilities, industrial maturity and capabilities to deliver ambitious space programmes.

Germany and Europe are facing major challenges in space, where industrial sovereignty, competitiveness and resilience will increasingly depend on our ability to build strong, trusted partnerships across borders.

Our ambition is clear: go beyond the traditional customer–supplier relationship and explore a deeper, long-term industrial cooperation, leveraging our complementary strengths to address German and European space ambitions.

Mid-September, the ESA - European Space Agency published its annual Space Environment Report. Although the space community is mostly aware that some orbits are getting crowded, facts and figures from this report leave no room for doubt:

🗨️ “In 2025, more than 300 launches took place with over 4,000 new payloads put into orbit.”

🗨️ “At the same time, the debris population also continues to expand faster, with both fragmentation debris and defunct payloads contributing significantly.”

🗨️ “The expected number of objects and collisions in Low-Earth orbit are skyrocketing.”

These findings give little choice to satellite operators and governments: they need to know quickly and precisely what’s happening in orbit.

This is where HEMERIA can help.

HEMERIA operates and provides SYRAH, bistatic survey radars designed for space situational awareness. Unlike tracking technologies, bistatic survey radars demonstrate the unique advantage of an unlimited number of measurable objects at a given time.

CONTRACT AWARDED 🫱🏻‍🫲🏻

OHB has awarded HEMERIA a contract to manufacture the electrical harnesses for the two satellites of the ESA - European Space Agency's Harmony mission. 🛰️

🇩🇪 This contract strengthens HEMERIA’s presence in the German market and reinforces its position as a European leader in space interconnection systems.

We are proud to contribute to the development of these Earth observation satellites through a collaboration that also paves the way for new opportunities.

VISITE DE L’ESCADRON DE LA TRÈS HAUTE ALTITUDE

Jeudi dernier, nous avons eu le plaisir d’accueillir l’escadron de la Très Haute Altitude de l’Armée de l’Air et de l’Espace sur notre site d’Ayguesvives.

Nos équipes ont présenté nos expertises techniques ainsi que nos infrastructures industrielles, uniques en Europe, dédiées aux aérostats et notamment aux ballons stratosphériques. 💡

La visite s’est poursuivie avec des échanges autour des enjeux de la Très Haute Altitude et des solutions développées par HEMERIA pour y répondre.

🙏 Un grand merci à l’escadron THA pour sa venue et pour la richesse des échanges.

🛰️ Surveiller l’espace, protéger nos actifs stratégiques : HEMERIA mobilisée aux côtés de la DGA - Direction générale de l'armement.

Nous avons accueilli en fin de semaine dernière les équipes de la DGA - Direction générale de l'armement en charge du programme ARES — Action et résilience spatiale.

Cette visite met en lumière la contribution d’HEMERIA au service de la défense spatiale française avec YODA, le démonstrateur de deux nanosatellites patrouilleurs pour l’expérimentation de capacités d’action en orbite géostationnaire.

C'était aussi l'occasion de présenter nos services du surveillance de l'Espace.

Derrière ces projets, nos équipes mettent leur expertise et leur engagement au service d’une ambition commune : renforcer la souveraineté de la France et sa liberté d’action dans l’espace.

Merci aux équipes de la DGA - Direction générale de l'armement pour leur visite et à nos collaborateurs pour leur mobilisation au quotidien.

Pikachu part à la conquête de l’espace ! 🌠

À l’occasion de la Semaine mondiale de l’espace, la Cité de l’espace accueille une exposition événement inédite Pokémon x ESA.

NAVAIDS: ENSURING SAFE AVIATION ✈️

Accurate take-off and landing don’t depend on the pilot alone. They depend on the ground systems guiding the aircrafts, especially when visibility is poor or when space-based GNSS isn’t an option.

With a 20-year experience, HEMERIA installs and maintains navigational aid systems for civil airports and military airbases, in France as well as internationally 🌍

We support more than 30 sites, with an operational availability reaching 97.2% and cover the entire life cycle of projects, from initial concept to long-term maintenance.

Our portfolio of services addresses:

• Instrument Landing System (ILS) for precision approach guidance
• Distance Measuring Equipment (DME) to provide slant-range distance between the aircraft and a ground station
• VHF Omnidirectional Range (VOR) to provide azimuth information for radio navigation
• Non-Directional Beacon (NDB) to provide bearing information for radio navigation

+ A few other airport solutions such as TACAN and radio direction finders.

✅ HEMERIA holds the European CNS certification (Communication, Navigation and Surveillance), issued by DGAC/DSAC, for air navigation service providers.

A new step forward for sovereign capabilities in geostationary orbit. 🛰️

Héméria and Astroscale France are joining forces to develop and bring to the international market an agile, sovereign GEO capability for defence, institutional and dual-use missions.

This strategic partnership brings together two highly complementary areas of expertise: HEMERIA’s proven experience in agile defence microsatellite platforms, including heritage from the YODA programme, and Astroscale’s flight-proven expertise in Rendezvous and Proximity Operations (RPO).

Our shared ambition is clear: deliver a high-performance, agile and competitive solution, designed to reduce development timelines, programme risk and cost, while providing the advanced manoeuvring and close-proximity capabilities required for demanding missions in GEO.
