Inodesign Group acquires Aodyo Instruments
An innovation story that wasn't meant to end there.
A few years ago, we were neighbours at La Ruche in Villeneuve d'Ascq. Two teams, two visions, but the same passion: developing French electronics. Laurent Pouillard and his team were creating the Sylphyo, that unique electronic wind instrument. On my side, I was building Inodesign on the conviction that we could produce cutting-edge electronics in France.
Our paths separated geographically, but the admiration remained.
When I learned about Aodyo's liquidation, one thing became clear: this innovation could not disappear.
What Aodyo represents
Aodyo is 10 years of R&D on innovative musical instruments technologies. It's a team that never stopped innovating, driven by the passion of bringing sound to life. It's also thousands of musicians and backers who believed in this vision.
Why this acquisition makes sense
Our technical complementarity is real. Our 12 electronic engineers will be able to develop Aodyo's innovations further, particularly in touch and sensor technologies. By controlling both R&D and production under the same roof, we can resume and adapt instrument manufacturing to our production facility. Our Made in France model without subcontracting, which has convinced OVHCloud and other partners, will enable us to industrialise these innovations.
But beyond industrial synergies, it's a conviction. Saving an innovative company in our Hauts-de-France region means preserving unique expertise. It also means honouring the work of a team that fought to push the boundaries of electronic music.
To Aodyo campaign backers
I understand your disappointment. Legally, we are not required to deliver to you. But morally, we owe it to you to find solutions.
Concrete proposals will be made to you in the coming months. We plan to set up a platform for exchanges with you in the coming weeks to explore together how to get the projects back on track. Please feel free to send us your suggestions.
I was impressed by the Loom project when my teams started working on it alongside Aodyo in 2024. Music is not my core business, but I intend to surround myself with the necessary expertise to meet musicians' expectations and remain attentive to their needs.
There are many projects to restart. Things will be conducted step by step, consolidating as we go to ensure the long-term viability of the projects.
The entrepreneurial journey is a constant challenge. Sometimes we fail, sometimes we bounce back. Today, we are enabling Aodyo's innovation to bounce back.
Because French innovation is worth fighting for.
