Chaiiwala, an Indian street food café, has officially opened its doors to customers this week.

The café offers a range of cuisine including all day breakfasts, Bombay bowls and signature drinks - we can't wait to try this one 🤩

Our Union Street was launched in March 2023. In that time, we’ve helped reduce the number of vacant units on the Granite Mile from 52 to under 30…but the work has only just begun.

A lot can happen when you harness the power of people! 🧼🧹

On Sunday we carried out our second clean up event. We had over 50 volunteers gather to do their bit to help our city centre.

Three areas of the street were focussed on📍- St Nicolas Churchyard, Union Terrace Gardens and a section of Union Street .

A massive thank you to everyone involved.👏🏽

We need your help!🧼

Our Union Street is holding its second clean up event!

On the 17th of March 10am-3pm

We will be cleaning a section of Union Street from Silver Street to Union Terrace, Union Terrace Gardens and continuing the work that we started in the St Nicolas Churchyard. As well as tidying up the shop frontage on unit 164 on Union Street.

After an amazing event at the end of last year we can’t wait to see the difference that can be made this time around.

New Year, New Challenges, New Opportunities.➡️

The M&S at the St Nicolas centre will be leaving Union Street and consolidating in Union Square to create a new flagship store, following a 15 million pound investment. They will be expanding into what is currently TKMaxx.

It will be one of the biggest and most advanced in the UK. It will boast one of the broadest product ranges with many new suppliers from the North East. 🌾

We have commitment from the M&S team to work with Our Union Street to find the best medium and long term options for their building for when they move out in 2025.

Bob Keiller, chairman of Our Union Street says - “We cannot deny that this is a setback for Union Street - but it is one which we knew was coming,” he said.
“However, we have a firm pledge from M&S that a new use will be found for the site, one which aligns with our ambition to regenerate our city centre”.

La Lombarda’s & Gio’s is BACK!🇮🇹🍝

New Year, New me! An Aberdeen favourite has reopened back in the city centre!

Monica and Fabrizio ran the restraurant from 1964 to 1999. Now in its 101st year, their youngest daughter Chantal and her three children have re-energised the space and plan to re-establish La Lombarda’s as one of the top resaurants in town!🍕

We spoke to Hollie about the inspiration behind the newly opened ShapeShifters and what the best part about opening in the city centre has been!🌇

ShapeShifters is a NEW cocktail bar, escape room and corporate meeeting space in the city centre of Aberdeen. With half of their cocktail menu being non-alcoholic and half alcoholic, it has a unique twist!🍸

The Our Union Street team recently used their state of the art meeting space. It was a seemless experience with their staff going over and above for us while we were there.
