Our friends at Newtonhill Out of School Club have been helping us get into the festive spirit by completing another creative challenge.
As part of the annual tradition, One Stop Waste asked pupils to design eye-catching Christmas badges. These can then be kept and reused every festive season, teaching the kids about the importance of sustainability.
We were delighted to receive a terrific response with an incredible 60 unique entries designed and created by the children.
They look forward to this long-running competition every winter and, once again, we were blown away by the level of creativity, enthusiasm and hard work on display.
Clearly, it captured their imaginations and we saw some fantastic design efforts and, overall, the standard of entries was very high which made the judgesโ decision even harder.
Given the high number of entries, the organisers also introduced a special One Stop Waste judgesโ choice award alongside the usual prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
It was our pleasure to donate a cheque towards the running of the club as a token of our appreciation for Heather Edmond and her team for organising the fun.
Well done to everyone involved!
