We’re delighted to once again be working with the Braemar Gathering and Highland Games Society to provide Wi-Fi connectivity for one of Scotland’s biggest and most iconic Highland Games. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Next Saturday, around 20,000 people will descend on Braemar for the Gathering — and behind the scenes, we’ll be helping keep everyone connected. 📶

Our network will provide internet access for press, social media, ticketing, event operations and vendors, helping keep things running smoothly even when the population of Braemar increases by several thousand for the day!

✅ SERVICE RESTORED: DEESIDE & CAIRN MON EARN

Hi everyone,

We are pleased to confirm that the emergency repair work at Cairn Mon Earn is now complete and service has been fully restored. 🟢

💨 So, what happened? When our engineers reached the equipment this morning, they found quite a sight. The winds yesterday were so strong that they actually caused a mechanical failure on the switch casing itself.

While the heavy-duty mounting hardware attached to the tower remained perfectly intact, the mounting points on the switch itself had been sheared off by the force of the wind.

🔧 The Fix To make sure this doesn't happen again, we haven't just replaced the unit—we’ve upgraded the installation. We have installed the new switch with additional mount points, going above and beyond the manufacturer’s recommendations for extra stability. We have also flagged this design weakness directly to the manufacturer.
