What is the No. 1 professional challenge you love solving for your clients?
The moment a business owner Googles themselves and realises their reputation isn't working for them is something I see all the time. They've worked incredibly hard to deliver a great service, their customers love them, but those reviews are scattered, invisible or just sitting idle on one platform. The challenge I love solving is turning that around â taking all of that hard-earned feedback and making it visible everywhere their next customer is looking, automatically. Watching a business go from a handful of reviews to a thriving, trust-building presence across Google, Facebook and LinkedIn is incredibly rewarding.
â
Why did you choose to be a founding member of this specific BNI core team?
I wanted to be part of something from the very beginning â to help shape the culture and values of the group rather than join something already established. BNI Bon Accord felt like the right fit because of the quality of people involved and the genuine commitment to building something meaningful in Aberdeen. As someone running two growing businesses in the North East, being surrounded by like-minded, driven local business owners who genuinely want to help each other succeed is exactly the environment I thrive in.
â
What does 'Givers Gain' mean to you in your daily business life?
For me, Givers Gain is something I try to live by in everything I do - not just in BNI. I only ever want to treat others the way I would want to be treated myself. In practice that means referring people before I think about what I might get back, showing up with value first, and genuinely caring about the success of the people around me. I've found that when you focus on helping others win, the business always takes care of itself.
