Im no Social Media guru but, seeing as i got such an awesome response last time with everyone's help on my "Urgent" post, i thought id go down the same route.
ThermaPak are looking for two Semi-skilled Machine Operators / Hands-on All Rounders - one for an immediate start.
The Company:
Started some 5yrs ago from a kitchen to now working out of a 10,000sq/ft Facility just outside Blackburn. We Manufacture Thermally Efficient Kerbside Recyclable Packaging predominantly for Food transportation (at the moment). Its a busy environment with a lot going on, from Production (our Gel Packs) / Manufacture (the Thermal bit) to Loads coming in and going out - everyone is 'Hands-On'.... For a small but growing business, its the way its got to be.
The Job(s):
We have a number of Machines that requires someone with adaptability, someone who has more than a couple of months in a Working / Workshop Environment with various Equipment would help greatly and has turned their hand to becoming either Skilled or Semi-Skilled.
We're looking for people who has basic Numerical Skills (counting), a degree of Dexterity (flexibility / movement) who has a mindset and attitude to get on with a job under their own initiative.
The Equipment:
- CNC Machine: Quite a simple large Machine that requires little in the way of Operation. Its all pre-programmed so basically pressing the button / let the Machine do its work / remove the waste material / repeat Operation... simple stuff.
- (Small) Band-Knife: A fairly simple little Machine but greatly required in our Small Company. A degree of Dexterity and Touch is required on it due to tolerances we work to - if you have any experience on a Band-Saw or the likes you'll pick it up fairly quickly.
- (Large) Band-Knife: A bit of a different beast to its "little brother" - again, quite an easy Machine to Operate but, a degree of numeracy required and will only be considered to Operate if "little brother" has been mastered.
- VFFS Fill / Pack Machine: Manufacturing our Gel Packs, the Machine does most of the work - something that is easily picked up.
- Batch-Mixer: Manufacturing all our Gel Solution in-house again, fairly simple to get hold of and let the Machine do the work making sure our Solution is per our in-house Standards.
If required, training on all Machines will be provided but, someone with basic skills / who can pick things up easily and quickly is required - we would love to have countless time to spend doing in-house training but, we're a busy company who really needs people who have Operated Equipment prior to coming on board.
