We are a family business which was established in 1996 as dealers in second hand office furniture. We started the business under the name Greenwell Office Furniture Ltd operating from a small office on Greenwell Road. As we expanded and diversified we found it necessary to restructure the company and Greenwell Equipment Ltd. was founded to reflect the rapidly expanding sales and installation of pallet racking, shelving, mezzanine floors, containers, cabins and forklifts. Greenwell Equipment is now the parent company of the group incorporating Greenwell Office Furniture. Greenwell Properties Ltd., our commercial property arm leases office space and warehousing to businesses in the local area.

FLASHBACK FRIDAY – A FOUR-LEGGED MEMBER OF THE GREENWELL FAMILY! 🐾

Taking you back to around the year 2000 with a couple of photos that bring back some fantastic memories from Greenwell's early days.

Meet Amy, our much-loved black Labrador, pictured here with our Chairman, Richy Turnbull, and Liam, one of our good friends who worked with us in those early years.

There has nearly always been a black Lab at Greenwell, but Amy was a real character and very much part of the team. She lived to the grand old age of 17 and was loved by everyone who came through our doors.

She certainly knew how to get looked after! One of our former employees made her a cup of tea every single day, and she was a regular visitor to the local burger van, where she would enjoy a sausage!

And then there's Liam, pictured having a bit of fun with Amy. Liam worked alongside us in office furniture in the early days before heading off to Edinburgh to establish his own office furniture business, Source.

Looking back at these photos reminds us that Greenwell has always been about more than just business. It's the people, the friendships, the characters (including the four-legged ones!) and all the memories made along the way.

Nearly 30 years of Greenwell, and it's photos like these that remind us just how special those early days were.

Great people, great memories and a very special dog.

🏰 NETWALKING, CASTLES & A LITTLE LOCAL HISTORY!

Our very own Alan Western was out enjoying another fantastic Netwalking event this morning, organised by ITWORX, at the beautiful Crathes Castle.

What a setting for a bit of fresh air, networking and good conversation!

It also sparked a conversation back at Greenwell about our wonderful castles here in the North East of Scotland.

Did you know that Aberdeenshire is home to around 300 castles, stately homes and ruins? We really are spoilt for choice!

And then came the question… Was it Crathes or Drum Castle that was home to the famous Green Lady ghost?

A little research confirmed it was Crathes! Although it turns out Fyvie Castle has its own Green Lady too. Clearly our North East castles have plenty of stories to tell!

Crathes is certainly one of our favourites, although our Director Julie has always had a soft spot for the beautiful pink Craigievar Castle.

A big thank you to ITWORX for organising another great Netwalking event. It's a brilliant way to connect with other local businesses while enjoying some of the fantastic places we have right on our doorstep.

So here's a question for our followers…

📸 FLASHBACK FRIDAY | 28 YEARS AGO!

Oh yes… the boiler suit, the pink hoodie and Julie on shrink-wrapping duties! 😂💗

We're kicking off our new Flashback Friday series with a trip back 28 years to the early days of Greenwell.

Here's our Director Julie, getting stuck in, shrink-wrapping shelving ready to head out to a customer.

No glamorous photo shoots, no fancy workwear… just a boiler suit, a pink hoodie and a job to get done!

As we celebrate 30 years of Greenwell, we'll be digging through the archives every Friday, sharing some brilliant old photos, familiar faces and a few fashion choices we'd perhaps rather forget! 😂

A lot has changed over the years, but one thing hasn't — we're still a family business that isn't afraid to roll up its sleeves and get stuck in.

Same family. Same work ethic. 30 years on. 💚

What a fantastic way to spend a Friday morning! 💚

This morning I had the pleasure of attending a brilliant networking event at the Compass Project in Cults.

What an incredible place, with such exciting plans to bring wellbeing into the heart of our community.

It was lovely catching up with so many fantastic people, including Ken Reid, Mike Gillespie and Sara Matthews, and hearing Craig Strachan talk about the Compass Project, its vision and what the future holds for the site.

A huge thank you to Stacy and Brett from Granite PR, who did a wonderful job of hosting and bringing everyone together.

And a little moment of pride for me... spotting one of the containers Greenwell donated back in 2020 to help get the project started! It's wonderful to see how far things have come and to have played a small part in the journey.

Great people, great conversations and a project that's going to make a real difference to our community.

A Friday morning well spent! 🌿

When did you last have your pallet racking inspected? 👀

Regular inspections can help identify issues early, keep your racking in good order and, where appropriate, repair and reuse rather than automatically replace.
