3rd Driven Day and the Grand Finale 📯
I try not to build expectation on many of my trips and especially hunts because there are so many things at play. However, I do find myself dreaming of what that perfect hunt could be like🦄
Yesturday was always going to be a day of wonderment as it was also the Grand Finale of the 1st series which I sorely wanted to be a part of.
So I wished my fellow competitors the best of luck but my reason for competing is to compliment my hunting so really the decision was easy
The days hunt would quickly surpass any expectation anyone could have on a driven hunt! 🤩 Especially a federal forest station/fair chase hunt
I managed to bag my (apparently- German standard) brace of roe deer. The 1st coming within the initial 5 mins of being in our stand (I was still setting up) the second came 15min later.
Our 3rd animal the holly grail and our 🥇 wild boar 🐗 the main goal for my trip was with in 45mins of starting the drive 💪
Then came 2 more 🐗 as singles which made it easier to capitalise on even if I did miss with one of my shots 🥴
My 3rd and final 🐗 for the day was a peach of a shot and the typical “driven shot” everyone dreams 💭 of 🤩💪
To cap off the drive we had a 4th roe deer which did require a track of 400 - 500m where we found that another hunter had finished the job and collected the roe 👌
So in total an amazing 4x roe and 3x wildboar - what a drive, what an experience and what a trip
