🧡Volunteers Week🧡 Do you have some time to help others?

This week and every other week we should be grateful for those who give up their most precious time to help others.

Joining the fundraising board at Maggie's Aberdeen wasn't a difficult decision for me. The work the team do at the centre makes such a difference in our city and surrounding areas so giving up a few hours to help was a no brainer for me - I'm sure the rest of the board will agree.

The volunteers make a huge impact on the warm welcome everyone receives at Maggies 🧡

Thanks to everyone at team Maggie's Aberdeen

11 Years of Ruby the Loveable Labrador ❤️

11 years of laughter
11 years of walks and adventures
11 years of unconditional love and support
11 years of that mischievous yet adorable face

I had no idea Ruby would play such an important part in my life and can be hard to explain in words so as a tribute to her this book tells the story of Ruby on one of many adventures and is still raising money for Mrs Murray's Home for Stray Dogs and Cats with more exciting things to come.

All proceeds from the sale of "Ruby the Loveable Labrador" goes directly to Mrs Murray's who do amazing work in our community.

We had a visit from the WBC Youth Intercontinental super lightweight champion Gregor Mcpherson to brighten up our day in the office!

His visit was a powerful reminder that success isn't accidental, it's built through hard work, resilience and dedication.

Not only a fantastic trainer at Bodbox he is a role model and inspiration for us all!

⭐️Ruby The Loveable Labrador ⭐️

I’m so excited to share the release of my first ever children’s book "Ruby the Loveable Labrador" available on Amazon from today - http://bit.ly/4p7ryCT 📚

Most of you will have seen Ruby in the office, on social media posts and on our website https://www.stellar-blue.co.uk but this book is a tribute to her wonderful character, our strong bond and a memory I will treasure forever whilst raising money for Mrs Murrays Cat and Dog home Mrs Murray's Home for Stray Dogs and Cats

Meet Ruby — a sweet, lovable Labrador who feels a little more anxious than most dogs. New places, loud noises and unfamiliar faces can sometimes put her on edge but that never stops her from trying her best.

This story gently introduces young readers to anxiety, bravery and emotional resilience, showing them that:
❤️It’s okay to feel worried sometimes
❤️Small steps forward are still steps
❤️Love, support and patience make all the difference

Beautifully illustrated by Glen Holman and written with care, Ruby the Loveable Labrador is perfect for:
✔️ Parents looking for stories that build emotional intelligence
✔️ Teachers supporting SEL (Social–Emotional Learning)
✔️ Any child who has ever felt a little nervous or just loves dogs

✨ Ruby’s journey shows children that even anxious hearts can shine the brightest.

I had the best time bringing this book to life and have never enjoyed a photo shoot as much as this one with Lisa @ Whitespace Studio who captured the moment incredibly!

Please like, share and spread the word so we can help Ruby reach as many families, classrooms and young readers as possible while raising money for such a great local charity. All proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to Mrs Murray's Home for Stray Dogs and Cats, registered charity SC012708
