Today’s Times newspaper article included a guide to walk up Sugar Loaf from Abergavenny. The route they show starts from the opposite side of the mountain. Our route to the top, direct from the office, climbs the north side, and the views from the top are just as good.

It’s good to be part of a community that does good. In this case, for the planet.
The power we generate here with water from our stream via a small turbine, plus solar PV panels, is fed into the National Grid, along with electricity from many other small scale renewable power generators. We are paid by Good Energy, who report today that

“In 2021, together we generated an incredible 698 GWh.
That’s the same amount of electricity it takes to power all homes in Manchester for over a year.”
