We recently completed a this landscaping job in Abergavenny which completely restored this garden.

Phase 1 – Vegetation Clearance🌳
Large wind-blown trees were removed before a full site clearance using chainsaws, hedge cutters, and brush cutters.

Phase 2 – Groundworks & Landscaping🚜
Using a 3-tonne excavator, we reshaped the area and reinstated an access track to the rear garden.

Phase 3 – Ground Preparation & Restoration🌱
Finally, we levelled and seeded the soil, leaving a clean, professional finish ready for new growth.

A couple of days spent climbing and carrying out deadwood and broken branch removal on this magnificent Wellingtonia — also known as Sequoiadendron Gigantium

These trees are the largest tree species on Earth by volume and can live for over 3,000 years. Their bark can grow up to 2 feet thick, helping protect them from fire and disease. Even a huge specimen like this is still only a fraction of the size these giants can potentially reach in the right conditions.

Work on trees like this has to be meticulous and precise to preserve the tree’s long-term health, structure, and longevity — and it’s always a privilege to work among such incredible living history.

A mature cedar tree restored through a full crown clean and surroundin area management. Deadwood was removed throughout the canopy, along with outdated lighting fixtures and redundant bracing cables to improve both safety and tree integrity.

A clear halo was also established around the base, removing competing saplings and allowing the cedar improved access to light, water, and nutrients for long-term health and maturity. 🌲
