The Honourable Golf

The Honourable was born on the windswept links of East Lothian. The Scottish golfing culture drew us in.

We were students at the University of Edinburgh, doing our best to win a match for the second team of the golf club. Historic fashion icons like Old and Young Tom Morris kept us around. Years later, in search of tweeds and tartans that perform on the course, we set out to build The Honourable.

Herringbone is as classic as it comes. Drawing its name from the resemblance to a fish skeleton, herringbone is a classic of wool, often showing nicely in tweed.

We wanted to develop a versatile herringbone in our stretch cotton - 97 percent cotton, 3 percent spandex. It feels fantastic to the touch while giving you more stretch than you will need on the course or off.

Available in green, navy, and our audacious gorse.

Vardon, Travis, Old Tom - these guys knew the benefit of a proper coat while playing the game. In designing our Golfing Blazer, we took inspiration from the greats while incorporating modern notes.

The Honourable take on the classic golfing coat is cut a bit higher than a traditional sports jacket. We worked off the pattern of a chore coat to build a piece that is functional on the course, with versatility to carry over into your daily life. Patch pockets to catch balls, tees, phones, sundries. Stretch corduroy to move with your swing and accommodate all sizes. Honourable buttons all the way up to the neck so you can style as a two, three, or fully buttoned jacket.

The Golfing Blazer comes in white, navy, and a special patchwork design. It is available now.

The Honourable house tartan makes its debut today in a special partnership with .

We have produced a limited run of bags and headcovers in our custom tartan woven in Scotland by .

The “Sunday Bags” remind us of the pencil bags from The Honourable era. We think they’re perfect for a quick winter round, a leisurely twilight wander, our as the main quiver for your hickory set.

The headcovers are done in classic barrel style for drivers and fairway woods. The putter cover is designed specifically for a modern blade, though it might fit an old long nose too. All are wrapped in tartan, capped with premium leather, and lined with fluffy wool.

Our house tartan represents everything we love about links golf. The green and navy of the grass and sea; the sand from the bunkers; the flowering gorse announcing trouble ahead.

We are very excited to announce a most Honourable collaboration with our friends at Pine Coast Golf, set to make its debut next week. We have an extremely limited run of hand made Sunday bags and headcovers in our house tartan, waxed canvas, and full grain leather. Our tartan was woven by the the masters at Locharron and the leather comes from the hills of Tuscany. The bags and covers were made by hand in Poland. We will also be launching a limited run of our Gillet and Harrington Jacket in the same house tartan.
