Great to see Culham Innovation Centre customer Oxford Sigma taking on a global leadership role in the fusion sector.

Oxford Sigma has joined the CATF MatDB4Fusion Steering Committee, helping to guide the development of a shared international database for fusion materials. This work will support researchers, engineers and organisations around the world as they accelerate the path towards commercial fusion energy.

It's fantastic to see companies from the Culham community contributing their expertise on the global stage and playing an active role in shaping the future of fusion.

Today we hosted our Customer Pizza Networking Lunch at Culham Innovation Centre, creating an opportunity for our customers to connect, share experiences, exchange ideas, and build new relationships over great food and conversation.

It was fantastic to see so many engaging discussions, valuable introductions, and genuine connections being made. Events like these remind us that some of the best ideas and partnerships emerge when people come together in a relaxed and informal setting.

This spring, Culham Innovation Centre celebrates 25 years of supporting science and technology businesses to start, scale and succeed.

Since 2001, the Centre has supported 150+ companies, helped create 600+ high‑value jobs, and backed breakthroughs across fusion energy, AI, robotics and life sciences.

To mark the milestone, a new independent SQW impact report highlights the collective achievements of businesses based at Culham – including strong patent activity and over £254m in external investment raised.

From early-stage start‑ups to global leaders like Tokamak Energy, Culham continues to play a vital role in Oxfordshire’s innovation ecosystem.
