Role Description ✏️
This is a full-time role based in Alcester, Warwickshire.
The Exhibition Stand Builder will construct and install exhibition stands and shell scheme dressings, including assembling frames, panels, graphics, and signage to agreed specifications and timelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include reading and interpreting plans, preparing materials, operating hand and power tools, and ensuring stands are built safely, accurately, and to a high visual standard. The role involves loading and unloading equipment, onsite setup and breakdown at exhibitions and events, and general workshop duties such as measuring, cutting, and finishing materials. They will collaborate closely with the manufacturing, print, and design teams, maintain a clean and organised workspace, and uphold health and safety requirements at all times.
Qualifications 📗
✅ Practical construction skills, including basic carpentry, use of hand and power tools, and experience assembling structures or displays.
✅ Ability to read and understand layout plans, technical drawings, and installation instructions for stands and signage.
✅ Experience working in a workshop, manufacturing, events, or exhibitions environment, with an understanding of on-site installation and breakdown processes.
✅ Strong attention to detail and quality, with a focus on accurate measurements, neat finishes, and professional presentation of graphics and signage.
✅ Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and materials safely over the course of an event build.
✅ Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative approach to working with designers, printers, and project managers.
✅ Reliable time management and organisational skills, including the ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing event schedules.
✅ Basic knowledge of health and safety practices relevant to workshop environments, event installations, and manual handling.
✅ Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to exhibition and event venues as required.
✅ Previous experience in exhibition stand building, signage installation, or events production is desirable but not essential; training can be provided for the right candidate.
