Yew tree salvage operation following Hurricane Arwen.

The tree had been completely blown over, so the top weight was removed and the trunk pulled up and propped with one of its limbs, so it can put down some new roots without the stress of the”wind-sail”, and it can hopefully live on for another few hundred years...Yews are superb at regenerating so fingers crossed 🤞😁👍

Free Range Logs for sale, £35 per barrow bag, or £160 per loose load in the cage trailer (5 barrow bags equivalent).

Ethically sourced, outdoor reared, responsibly harvested, naturally air dried, vegan organic logs, hand selected by artisan woodsmen! Guaranteed gluten free too! 😉😂

(All our firewood comes from either essential tree surgery operations or removals on safety grounds, we never harvest just for firewood. It is naturally seasoned for at least 1 year, again, we never kiln dry. The wood is all locally sourced from the Alnwick area, and is a mixture of mostly hardwoods and some softwoods as it’s not specifically harvested. Short of cutting and splitting it with an axe yourself, you won’t find a more natural log!)
