Happy International Women’s Day weekend to all the women out there wearing more capes than they ever imagined they would.

Today is for celebrating the strength, stamina, and resilience it takes to keep showing up — for ourselves, for the people around us, and for the incredible women in our circles who lift us up when we need it most.

If I were a flower, I’d be a Vanda orchid.

Bold & vibrant — unique, and unapologetically me.

Long-lasting blooms — I show up, give my all, and don’t fade under pressure.

Exotic & unusual — always bringing a twist you didn’t see coming.

Resilient — I hang on when things get tricky.

Upright & structured — never shy, and open about what isn’t my strongest suit.

Epiphytic — here for as long (or short) as you need me, adaptable and flexible.

Requires care — low-maintenance but capable of magic. I’ve turned a GIF into a corking email or worked out mechanics on-site out of thin air.

Eeek! New year AND a new note book 😍. Obviously took me much longer than needed to decide which pink one to get but I’m so excited to start filling in its brand new blanket pages with exciting florist virtual assistant to do lists.

I never set goals for a new year.
No word of the year. No neat little plan.
I prefer to let the year unfold… and then sit with it properly at the end and look back at what’s been accomplished.

And this one? This one was about investment.

In the business — a LOT of new tech, systems that finally make the VA side smoother, lighter, easier to breathe in.
In myself — saying yes to things that felt different, exciting, and just a little bit terrifying.

Helping secure silver gilt and gold RHS show medals.
Working alongside an international team on a multi-day wedding.
Standing up and sharing two business talks at the BFA Trade Show.

There’s been more freelancing freedom this year too — no army deployments to navigate — and whilst I know 2026 will bring that back into the mix, I also know this business (and me) are ready for whatever comes next.

I’ve climbed hills confidently with the steam engine.
…and Less confidently with the showman’s wagon attached.
I’ve stood in awe of waterfalls.
And slowed right down, searching for sea glass between pebbles.

It’s been a full year. A year spending time doing what I love with those I love.
And I’m endlessly thankful — for the work, the trust, the opportunities, for you quietly supporting me and the brilliant people I’ve had the privilege of working alongside.

Here’s to letting the next one unfold into something just as wild, untamed and glorious too x

79 wreaths made, + my chiropractor on speed dial,
Ribbons, foliage, wire — I never seem to tire.
Neck in knots, fingers sore,
But damn… they look so good on the door!

💚You chat, share cake, and give your creativity a little stretch.
💚You head home with something you’ve made, the satisfaction of having carved out time just for you, and maybe even a new friend who speaks your flower language.

It’s not a workshop. It’s not networking. It’s not about being the “best”.
It’s just about showing up, switching off, and remembering why you fell in love with flowers in the first place.

An In-Person Florist Event Like No Other

An evening where flowers meet frosting and conversation flows as freely as the tea. We keep it simple — half of us arrive with a pudding or bake to share, the other half with blooms to play with — and together we swap, share, and create.

It’s all about connecting with kindred creative spirits. No pressure, no perfection — just a table full of blooms, bakes, and brilliant conversation.
