Today AccuBio's MHFA, EC, Social and Charity Committees came together for an afternoon focused on wellbeing. 💚

The afternoon included wellbeing discussions, a zero-waste presentation, a recycling game, a nature quiz, charity raffle and our annual coffee and cake event. 🌱🧁

We also held a pop-up shop featuring pre-loved items as part of , encouraging recycling, reuse and reducing waste. ♻️

Thanks to everyone who participated, donated and supported our fundraising efforts. Together, we’ve raised an amazing £585 for SAMH and the Nepal Fund. 🙌

A great reminder of the importance of looking after our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. 😊

This September, we’re supporting Blood Cancer Awareness Month by sharing the story of our colleague, Louise, who took on an incredible challenge on Sunday 13th September, an 11,000ft skydive to help raise awareness of blood cancer and the work of Anthony Nolan. 💚

Anthony Nolan is a UK charity that helps people with blood cancer and serious blood disorders find potentially lifesaving stem cell donors.

For Louise, supporting others is particularly important to her. As a plasma donor and registered stem cell donor, she already gives her time to help others and this September, she took things to new heights! 🪂

We’re incredibly proud of Louise for taking on this challenge and helping to raise awareness of blood cancer and the importance of plasma and stem cell donation.

An interesting article highlighting the current CD4 testing landscape and the challenges faced. The decline in conventional CD4 testing, coupled with the observed reductions in ART across several studied countries, will inevitably lead to an increase in AIDS-related deaths and prevent many countries from meeting the WHO target to end AIDS by 2030.

VISITECT CD4 Advanced Disease can address the critical need to identify AHD and accelerate clinical decision making, providing a low cost, true in-field POC solution for community CD4 testing.
