Meet Sophie, Operations Administrator here at Venture.
Sophie joined our team in 2023 and plays a key role in supporting people-related and operational activities across the business. This includes recruitment and onboarding, employee support, and process improvement.
A key focus for Sophie currently is helping reshape our recruitment processes, as the business continues to grow.
When she’s not busy working, you’re likely to find her spending time with her toddler and family, working on ongoing house renovation projects, or trying to find a quiet moment with a coffee!!
Sophie told us: “One of the best things about my job is having the opportunity to work across multiple areas, contributing to process and people improvements, and building strong relationships across the organisation.
“What I value most about Venture is the mindset and culture of the business. There’s a genuine focus on growth and continuous improvement, but also a willingness to reflect, raise standards, and hold ourselves accountable as the company evolves.
“I really respect that there’s an emphasis on doing things properly rather than just doing things quickly, and that creates an environment where people are encouraged to develop, contribute ideas, and make a meaningful impact.
“Having recently returned from maternity leave, I have a fresh perspective and renewed motivation to continue developing professionally. It made me realise how much I enjoy the people development and leadership side of the business, and it’s encouraged me to continue pushing myself towards obtaining a management position within Venture.”
