Was dazzled by recent installation of our electric fencing close to home today and had to stop and admire.

Customers went for top quality Turbocharge rope - polyethylene so super tough and contains both low resistance tinned copper & stainless steel.

Standard ring insulators but some rather nifty corner insulators for rope. Tricky to get a good photo but these are rounded in the inside so when the rope slackens off and moves in the wind (even by a few millimetres) there will be no wear on the rope. Big muckle screw on them too so they won’t come out under strain.

Sunpower Solar unit (5yr warranty) powering the fence is locked in place to the post by a padlocked bolt. This goes through the energiser’s mounting bracket which is bolted to the post.

Great to see an initial setup done so well and I made a new four legged friend when taking the snaps which is a bonus.

Took delivery of a whole load of goodies from Gallagher this afternoon. Mainly energisers including a load of the new solar energisers(with lithium batteries) and gate handles for both rope and tape.
Have created a few kits with the solar units too but will put more about them online shortly.

That 7yr warranty though….
