Quality Bespoke Furniture, Hand crafted from Local and sustainable woods. My name is Stuart Shone, i live and have my own business in Sleat, South Skye.

Stuart Shone Furniture was established to offer customers a complete furniture service from design to manufacture and to final fitting. I offer a huge variety of Furniture ranging from small mirrors and shelves, to tables, chairs and cabinets, to whole kitchens, livingroom and bedroom suites as well as doors and garden furniture. Designs and choices of materials are carefully discussed with client

s to ensure each piece of furniture created is practical, beautiful and fulfils the clients requirements. I try to use as much local woods as possible that are sourced from and around Skye but a wide range of woods are always available from suppliers. I am always keen to incorporate other materials such as Glass, Stainless Steel, Aluminium, and ceramics into my work if thatis what the client wants. I also offer a furniture repair and restoration service ranging from re-polishing work, repair or replacement of broken parts and even some upholstery work.

On again today from 10 till 3 at the workshop. Still plenty of Lena’s Christmas goodies, there’s more chopping boards and a couple of mirrors. I’ll get some coffee on the go too.

2 natural edge elm mirrors for sale, nice Christmas present.
The smaller one is 680mm high and 500mm wide with a shelf at the bottom and hanging points, £150.
The large one is 1640mm x 860 and has hanging points for vertical or horizontal orientation, £250.

We have our wee craft fair on tomorrow 7th and again next Saturday 14th. Lena has been busy making cards and ornaments for Christmas and Rosa has been making some decorations. I’ve got the usual chopping boards and also a few mirrors for sale. Please come along from 10 till 3 at the workshop

This Saturday the 25th of November, I will be open if anyone wishes to buy chopping boards for Christmas presents or a nice wee treat for yourself.
My daughter has also made some beautiful wee Christmas decorations that she would like to sell. She is very proud of her creations. Come visit us between 10am and 3pm to say hi 🎅🏻🎄🤶🎁
I will also be open through the week if you can’t make it on Saturday. We can’t wait to see you 🎅🏻🎄🤶

Some work completed in the last few months and a bit of info.
My first ever stair completed and installed in oak and glass. The treads and risers are mdf carpeted, the oak is coated with osmo oil.
Also another counter for Elgol Bistro in oak with a burr elm top finished with lacquer.
I am trying to move with the times as this has been requested quite a lot in recent years and can now take card payments either with my card reader or I can email an invoice to pay online. This is from I Zettle, there is a slight surcharge for this facility but it is now available if anyone would prefer paying by card.

The Christmas chopping boards are back again, I got a few done today. They will be available on Saturday from the workshop. Also available will be my wife’s usborne books, the whole collection will be on display and available to buy on Saturday. It’s a lovely selection of kids books, ideal for Christmas presents.
